I never post in these but Merry Christmas. Just finished getting the kids stuff laid out for tomorrow. It’s a frigid 42 here in North Florida.
Enjoy your night bud.

Their only loss is a last min field goal on the road against the #1 unbeaten team in the nation. LOL. I know they don’t play a heavy schedule but it’s pretty impressive what they have managed to achieve with one five star player and one four star player on the entire team.
Pathetic

Buddy from Miami is coming up the day after Christmas to hunt. Looks like he’s gonna bring y’alls weather with him. It won’t be ideal but it will be a good time regardless.

We had a more "cold" days here for us this year than its been for a while. Cold for us anyway. Going to have a run of good days coming up though.
Looks like low 80's the next few days.... Going to be off from work till Friday so its great outside December weather......

alone on Christmas Eve? that kinda sucks
i once spent a Christmas Eve more or less alone at Harry's Bar in Opelika - that was pretty damn depressing
church service earlier tonight, drove around with the wife and younger daughter looking at lights, now at home drinking some cold brew irish coffee (mixed by aforementioned daughter) and doing some last minute (literally) present wrapping
Merry Christmas to one and all of you AUtards - War Damn and all that

Sorta, not really. Wife left for work at 8:30. My son is asleep. I have been just chilling listening to some tunes and surfing a little. Listened in on Thirds podcast for a while as well.
Its just part of working people with odd schedules... Just something we are use to. Hope you have a great Christmas Freep.

wife used to work night shifts in her hospital days, then had to take call for a few years after she became a vet, plus i pulled my share of signoff duty during my many years in the broadcast business, so i know the drill
fortunately those days (or nights) are behind us, i would think you arent too far away either
hope you and your family have a joyous Christmas as well

The Santa hat it now off. Really need to go to bed. Kids will be up in about 4 hours now.

he will never win more than 7 games in a season at Auburn
I don’t necessarily disagree, but with typical schedule of one FCS, 2 G5s, and perhaps a cyclically down SEC team or two, that’s 5 wins for anybody.
7 games to win four. Maybe a bad call gets one. Maybe we play lights out a couple of times, or the other team executes poorly. AND don’t forget, IF we win 7, we get a shot at winning 8 in Birmingham, Memphis, Jacksonville, or Nashville in a mediocre matchup.
8 wins is not impossible, even for the mentally retarded “diamond formstion, double pass” calling preacher.

My kids are grown so just putting in the few things in the stocking and making a breakfast casserole before everyone gets up.

AKA I know they only played one hard team all season and it was a loss, but they played hard!
Lanier is just happy for teams to be there. Let me know how that team (that actually has more 5 stars than Auburn) does in the playoffs.

Cinnamon rolls and sausage patties for us. Tradition. Almost 40 years for my wife and I. We were poor when we got married.
Mexican on Christmas Eve. Another tradition that my son, who is married and has a daughter, also carries on. In 1995, we moved to north Georgia and was basically away from any family for the first time. On Christmas eve, we could not figure out what we were going to eat as we typically had a traditional dinner with our family. Found enough stuff in the house to scrap together some tacos so it started.
