I don't disagree but it has to be pretty easy when your team is stacked in all areas

Who was the last OC to fail there?

Totally agree. At the same time, it seems like Saban not only has an eye for player talent but for coaching talent as well. Yes they have superior athletes but it seems like he has a knack for hiring damn good coaches.

JJ possibly just shite the bed when the lights were bright. Some dudes look like practice all americans and when it counts they freeze up.

Like who else? JJ is the biggest bust I can remember. I honestly cannot remember another player who was a bigger flop than JJ.

Maybe --- forget his name --- the kid from Wisconsin?

Stave?

Or Frazier?

I am sure there are lots of others.

Maybe it was the pressure, who knows?

I always heard the game slows down for the good players, that never seemed to happen for him.

What OC has not been successful at Bama?

Under Saban, no OC has been unsuccessful, even Nussmeier who didn't win a NC there was overall 'successful' I would argue.

But it's not like it's impossible to fail as an OC at Bama. We've seen several stacked teams under perform. They've had good OC's there who have adapted to the talent. They've never been labeled 'geniuses'.

Yes, I'm extremely skeptical of our OC/HC at Auburn, and he's far from a 'genius'.

Duke is a shitty example...before the 2014 season, he was hyped up in practice and he delivered on the field that season (this is why he was so hyped up pre-2015). Off the field issues led to his demise.

I have to always just assume people use this making fun of people who actually might use it...

I went through a period saying 'bro' a lot, but I started because I wanted to make fun of the people who used it genuinely. Now I'm lost in irony and have no idea who I am anymore.

P.S. Not to rain on the posi parade...But a true genius would have seen those JJ flaws, because they weren't new. My best hope is that he saw them and made the calculated decision to overcome them with other talent and playcalling, which obviously failed miserably. So...with that being my 'best hope,' my feelings for the future are not all that optimistic.

So, we'll definitely win it all this year.

And he is a perfect example. How many times did we hear from our coaches, mainly trooper, that he was going to electrify us. how great he was in space. bla bla bla. Sorry but he fricking sucked at Auburn as a receiver. Just fricking terrible.
The only chance he had to really help us in the end zone, he was out of bounds. fricking terrible

I hate saying it...but Kiffin is looking much more like an offensive genius than Gus

Bama's D had as much to do with making their offense look good as Kiffin did.

Trovon's disappointment as a WR was nothing like JJ's letdown. Besides, when Trovon under performed at least we had others we could go to...that being Darvin Adams. When JJ was underperforming, Gus just let him keep playing.

Gus has put us in more championship games than any coach in AUs history, has one bad season, and you dumbasses want to fire him. It took Tom Osborn (sp?) 25 years to win a championship at Neb, and they adore him. We need to curb our expectations.

Good to know that you as a coach would bench your starting QB after 1 or 2 games.

Yeah, so grateful Gustav didn't pull JJ after game #2 against Jax State.

Must be nice being able to see the future bro.

TFR do so well in the SEC. Should have definetly had White start his first game in Death Valley. Because the offense is the reason we got hammered in that game.
