That means Jack shite. It just pisses me off more.

We should tell this conference to bounce. What have they done for us? Taken away most of our rivalry games. Where were they in 2004? Where?

I’d bounce.

i have an opinion, based on what i’ve seen thus far this year - whats yours?

does good recruiting matter if you get mediocre results and your recruits get raided by teams that actually, you know, win games at a level comparable to their class ranking?

No. We're atrocious. I hold my breath for every punt, kick, return on both sides of the ball

Sometimes I leave the fricking room because it feels like a disaster about to happen.

Freeze just started his 3rd year, Moron. Fools like you want instant success, and do not have the mental capacity to see that having 4 HCs in less than 10 years, is a really great way to keep a program down for decades!

Step back and look at where we were when Malzahn was finally shown the door. His last couple of seasons, the Harsin debacle, and now. Are we in a much better position that any time during that period? Objectively, we are head and shoulders above where we have been, and getting better.

Harsin had the same number of conference wins in less than two seasons that Freeze has now.

I don't see "head and shoulders above". We have more talent, yes, but the results look awfully familiar. And now that we're in the portal era, if we don't show some significant progress this season, a lot of that talent is going elsewhere soon. Playcalling is still bad, the offensive line is still trash, special teams are awful, we lack a passing threat despite a big bank of receiver talent and the secondary is a problem. The days of five years to build a program are over. Teams are buying winning squads in one or two. If we're unable to play that game, might as well put that money towards basketball.

yeah, look what happened to Bama when they hired their 5th HC in less than 10 years back in 2007- decades of misery, i tell ya

you like to bring up Tennessee as your example - here’s a quick comparison:

Freezus thru 29 games
Overall record: 14-15
SEC record: 5-12
Vs P5: 7-14
Vs non-P5: 7-1
Vs ranked: 1-9

Derek Dooley thru 29 games
Overall record: 14-15
SEC record: 4-13
Vs P5: 5-15
Vs non-P5: 9-0
Vs ranked: 0-11

was UTee too “impatient” with Dooley?

except in one metric - care to deduce which one?

Show me some examples of successful "patience" models.

Not a good standard because we have been so low. As far as recruiting, Freeze is just doing what is possible at Auburn. No gold stars to be given here. Yes, it is a nice change from Harsin and Malzahn.

Programs are above average by year 2 or 3, or they never will be.
Just look at the history of the SEC. A multitude of examples.

Yes people don't have patience, so it will be harder to find examples of delayed success, but why take the change when we can see that most, likely, sustained success can be seen early.

Only gave up 7 sacks today instead of 10 so we're moving in the right direction!
