Meh, there’s new things sprinkled in. It’s not for everyone

If UGA, LSU or the Gumps had a 10 win season with no championship, they'd consider the season a failure. It's sad that Gus has so lowered expectations, some of you think that's the best we can hope for any more.

UGA fired Richt for averaging 10 wins a year with no championships. Half of our fanbase would go to hell and fight the devil for Gus because he averages 8 wins a year...

I need everybody to raise their expectations. I wanna win, you should too.

IF and a big IF we beat both Georgia and Bama I’m sure goose and jang will still want Gus fired Bc he makes to much money or some other reason.

UGA hasn't won in 40 years. LSU has won the west less than us the past decade. Not everyone gets a mulligan like bama.

I’ve already said I would still be done with him bro. He did that in 2017. I don’t see things ever getting better long term. Definitely won’t next year. I also have way too much Gus fatigue as well.

LSU literally did this last year and the huge majority of their fan base thought it was a considerable success

Meh.
Ed O at LSU has won:
-9 games
-10 games
- currently 9-0, Heisman locked up, and his team playing great.

That’s continued improvement.

That's also a different overall conversation altogether

Multiple dudes on this page are saying 10 wins against one of the hardest schedule in Auburn's history would be a good outcome - which is obviously absurd

I'm not exactly a Gus advocate so I certainly don't have any interest in giving him more credit than he's due

10 wins would be a pleasant surprise given our schedule, deficiencies, and the tendency for 8-5, and Auburn wouldn’t fire him for that ever. Personally, I’ve moved past all the one year auditions, and magic numbers.

But, my opinion is mine; Nobody has to share it.

Yes. But I want Greene to call bullshite to the SEC schedule. Like pitch a fit until something is done. We played Bama/UGA/UF/LSU this year. UGA/Bama specifically gets to hide for 7-8 games and gear up for a playoff run. We have to fight for every inch.

We play the hardest schedule in the SEC every year and I'm perfectly fine with that. It makes each game mean more. I also recognize that our coach has a higher bar to clear than most since we apparently hate our coach (insert name) every year.

Is there another coach in the Nation that has had a more difficult road than Gus has had at Auburn? If so, how did that coach do?

Your sample size tells me not to look for you to explain trends.

Yes, O improved from one year to another. So did Butch, So did Kirby, so did Bert, so did Layne, so did Gus.

You actually came here showing a one year improvement as "continued improvement"?

Your post saying 9 wins to 10 wins shows continuous improvement.

Am I missing something?

Did you ignore the next part where I said LSU is currently 9-0, Heisman locked in, and playing like they belong in the playoff? That’s continuous improvement with a 3 year floor of 9 wins. That would be great on the plains.
All I’m looking for is an upward trajectory. Can you please show me the continuous upward trajectory from Gus in his 6 and a half years here?

Let me guess... not enough Ed O’s grow on our trees, settle with Gus?

From 13-1? No, I can't find a continuous improvement from that. I can show an actual trend chart that includes numbers if you want.
