From Mark Murphy of the ITAT.

quote:

*With it closing in on a full week since Duke Williams practiced with the Tigers, there is still no word from the coaches about when or if he will be playing for the Tigers this season. For someone looking for hope that the team’s leading returning receiver will be back, one of his teammates who knows Duke well told us that he expects the senior will be returning to the squad.

If it is true that he has been "volunteering" at the equestrian complex, he'll be back. Nobody shovels shite in 90* heat because they want to.

That is the rumor. Someone posted on the last page that Jay Tate was alluding to something similar on the radio recently. Who knows.

I seent it. And I heard it. It was a solid hit.

The lesson learned here is, when a chick with a shovel tells you to "Get the F--- off my porch", you should probably consider it.

It is such an unusual type of humbling punishment too that I imagine it will boost his draft stock. Saying this kid wants to be a positive contributor to the team bad enough to shovel horse**** is way more compelling than "He had to run stadium steps for a week" The first sounds like legit punishment. The later sounds like what these guys should do for conditioning not punishment.

If he has a good PR agent afterwards, he should own up to it. Would be a great ESPN profile piece about maturing etc leading up to draft day

I just hope the kid gets his head on straight, For himself and the team... Obviously the kid has a ton of issues, but maybe the coaches will continue to be patient with him and it will pay off for everyone involved...

Looks like I got some bad intel guys if the equestrian info is legit. If someone wants to meet me at the Sonic at East Chase I'll take my flogging like a man
