It is amazing our fans wanted to be in a coaching search. It's like people have no ability to remember the crap shoot they become.

I think its always easy for people to react. Things are not going like people think and they just react. I think a lot of people forget how much trouble and turnover there is in hiring a new coach and basically starting all over again. We have had so much momentum the past few years with our defense especially, Id had to tear that down

I was no happier with how things were going as the next guy but if you really break things down, you can see that Gus has such a high ceiling. A few things cleaned up and we are on the right track.

I was always hoping for him to succeed at Auburn and still do. I am sure next year, the first time things dont go well, people will be doing it again.

I would hate to be in the market for a SEC caliber coach right now.

If we lose next weekend, you'll have to pull the buss over and let folks off.

My bar for Gus this year was to win the Georgia game.

I don't think the fans were wrong about Gus. I think Gus has changed and I would bet that the heat he took from everyone helped. Post LSU Gus > Pre LSU Gus. And because of this, I am a supporter again as well.

The only thing that changed is his team got healthy and his QB stopped thinking and started playing.

Truth but there is no question Gus has made a change in his approach, and the way he is acting these days.

His change is quite noticeable.

He also stopped coaching scared. Play calling got a heck of a lot better. He started treating this team like the juggernaut it is and not like a high school team that needed to trick people to get yards/score.

You think LSU gus who called 17 first down runs is the same Gus we have today?

Teams and coaches evolve or devolve every season.

Stidham shook the rust off. O-line got on the same page. Defense has been good the whole time.

Maybe special teams (other than field goals) will come around by the last game of the season.

I believe that for the most part, but I also believe he learned to stay aggressive and either he or Chip learned to stop getting so goddamn cute all the time.

For the most part anyway.... (QB change in IB when Stidham was balling the frick out)

10 of those 17 plays were RPO's that the QB chose to give the ball to KJ. He now keeps it and throws it at least 50% of the time. Which is what they had been trying to get him to do all season.

That time claimed had insider info

Dude, let them keep with their thinking. It helps them get over it.

There is no room for logic in the fire Gus threads.... The same straight runs is pretty much what beat UGA and they loved it.

I wonder how many here still hate the Wildcat totally? Has been pretty effective lately. Running from it, jet sweeps off it and of course, that beautiful KJ jump pass last night
