That tends to happen when the Dline knows 3 things: that the QB refuses to throw the ball, that the HC is too dumb to burn them with a draw play, and that the HC is too dumb to call quick crossing routes underneath.
On that play in that situation, every other coach in the world would do a power run or power QB dive there though.
Hell, what happened to that screen play that they tried against one of the cupcakes where Perry went in motion and Arnold overthrew him? It was going to be an easy touchdown. I’d take my chances of throwing a quick screen to Singleton or Perry there and let them bull their way to a 1st down.

75,77,76 all used the same Matador technique.

I don't readily see a stunt like a twist. Just looks to be 4 bull rushers.
Why was Lew beaten so bad.

87 was open.
Slot blitz, throw where they came from.
I assume he did not see him.

He was looking left at Coleman the whole time, so either he was told that was the read and go there, or he just made a pre-snap decision.
Yea, whole other discussion on if he isn't able to read the blitz and adjust where he goes with the ball, but he definitely never saw Frazier.
On top of that, OL just got abused up the middle.

His first read was to the left side and he had 0 chance to come off that read with the way our OL failed on that play. Just pathetic by so many different guys, and it wasn't even 65 on that one.

I thought for sure we were about to hit them with a screen when I saw all those guys through the quickly. We weren't lol
Hilariously, 0s complete whiff was the most effective block of the bunch.

Yella wood just retired. Maybe he should retire from Auburn Football King too.
It depends on what conversation we're having whether Yella wood should go away or donate more money. SMH.....

They had Coleman bracketed.
We need a restart.
Should have just run on third and fourth down.

OL is no doubt an issue but if you are giving Arnold a complete pass, that would be unwise. He looks like Thorne holding the ball too long plenty.

I really don't know how any offensive coach at Auburn can not walk around in utter shame.

Time for Freeze to dust off the old speech he gave Thorne

Sure Arnold has his mistakes but I dont know why any qb would feel safe to risk their butt at Auburn at this point.

Thing is I doubt he is being coached into *seeing* the play and I doubt there is a rhyme and reason to the route tree. For instance someone should be coaching him to work high and then low and routes should be opening up in quarterback's peripherals. I doubt he is being developed. He is just being thrown out there and told what to run.
Yeah, I’m with you.

Its becoming obvious. No pre snap reads either. Everything's done post snap which makes it even harder. You identify man or zone so you can half your progression essentially. And if I as an armchair qb can figure that out you can coach it to a mf 5 star. Did Hugh operate like this with Chad Kelly and Ryan aplin? If the answers yes he should've never made it out of the interview with an offer.
