I still think we could get to 8-4 but other teams would need to regress while we improve.

Ultimately though, nothing about Hugh Freeze instills any sort of confidence that the program will get better while he is the HC.

Huh? Find a game where a JJ led team didn't convert 1 third down.

I will if you find a clip of Jackson Arnold throwing the ball backwards like JJ did at LSU. Gosh that was embarrassing.

Didn't we only score like 6 pts against Clemson in the whirly-bird game or was that the following year when we became very good after LSU came from behind to beat us? I don't know how many 1st downs we had but 6 pts sucked bad!

Yes 2017. The LSU game collapse still haunts me.

I think JA has had one this year that was not as bad, but looked similar too it.

Indeed embarrassing. What's more embarrassing is that team had a better record than any of CHF's teams here at Auburn

I would say you’re right, but Freeze can’t be trusted to make good decisions when it comes to the most important position on the field. Going from making us suffer 2 years of Thorne only to give us Arnold is unforgivable.

Arnold has been behind 2 shite lines now. His throw was absolute dog shite on 3rd and 1 but some of this shite is beyond Arnold. Between the OL penalties, being the primary RB, and 20 sacks he isnt thinking clearly.

We are more talented, by a good margin, than every other team on our schedule outside the obvious 2. Unfortunately, there is no reason to have any confidence our coaches won't screw it up.

He definitely hasn't been set up for success in those ways...

some of the criticism seems to be warranted in that he needs to let it fly sometimes. We have the WR talent.

When should I start to worry that we lose WR recruits and those on our roster? Cam totaling less than 20 yards isn't going to keep him here. Why would Thompson stay.

This all comes back to the coaching staff. Set up some short hitters, run the ball, 1-2 reads or run. Why have we regressed so much since week one. The talent disparity between the defensive fronts we are seeing and our OL isn't THAT BAD.

Oh, I agree. Arnold needs a perfect situation and could be serviceable. But he is not a gamer that makes things happen. And just like the last 2 years with PT, Freeze needs to admit that and change the offense to better suit him: quick throws that Arnold doesn’t have to think about and a whole lot of running the football. I saw Uat do just that against thUGA Saturday night. But on the other side, I saw Bobo go full Freeze and abandon the run when uat couldn’t stop it.

That is exactly where I am at.

Just on talent, only two teams remaining have more than us. When it comes to coaching though, I think we are pretty much dead last --- maybeee Kentucky is in worse shape there but Arkansas just upgraded.

If he would make quick decisions when he does have some time and hit the WR for positive gains and 1st downs, the defense won’t be coming balls to the wall all the time. JA makes it even harder on an OL that has deficiencies. That’s a recipe for what we saw Saturday and will continue to see most likely.

Aaron Murray has strongly defended Jackson Arnold for two straight games in a row. I would share videos but yall dont watch them anyway.

We can talk about the OL until we and puss Aaron Murray are blue in the face, and with good right because they’ve had a lot of bad plays, but the times where JA does have time, which is a decent amount of time, he doesn’t take advantage of it. And because of that, it is getting harder and harder for the OL.

Murray also sees that it’s a lot of Arnold’s fault too. But I can’t let Freeze off the hook this time. He chose to overpay for another QB that refuses to throw the ball or holds onto it too long.

There's enough moral victories in your post to last a lifetime. We need an actual one

When you say that I guess you mean cradle ball and run. He cant just just throw into premature position. I want Arnold to hit 4 mississippi and then run regardless of whether a route is opening up.

Thing is I doubt he is being coached into *seeing* the play and I doubt there is a rhyme and reason to the route tree. For instance someone should be coaching him to work high and then low and routes should be opening up in quarterback's peripherals. I doubt he is being developed. He is just being thrown out there and told what to run.

I showed the video from that game. He noted that play.
