I'm thinking the only reason he played is bc KF was suspended. I think the coaches see the writing on the wall. Those read plays/qb keep up the middle got shut down as soon KF touched the field.

He made a couple of solid plays last night, but the he missed a shite ton of big play. The attitude of the defense changed when Frost got into the game. I'm pretty sure we just witness Jake Holland's last start

Jake's dad disagrees with you. He said the LB's were at their best I the first half and the D really lost their vocal leader in the 2nd half.
No shitting you, he said this to me leaving the stadium.
To say bluntly, he was wrong.

I respect Jake because he appears to work hard and to care, but it is time for him to play a limited role on D.

Wow the defense was like night and day in the second half I just hope the coaches aren't to stubborn to see it.

Just curious who our vocal leader is on D.. It sure as frick isn't the leaping, flying, Jake f'in Holland. Just another reason I can't wait for that guy to graduate and take his lack of talent with him. His dad needs to kick rocks as well and STFU.

Kiehl's daddy thought he was the bestest too and turns he admits he didn't have the heart to play Qb.

Jake did lead the team in tackles, but he made some bad plays also, especially on the long run by their QB to start the second half. We need him to play, but Frost should continue to see his role GREATLY expanded.

They exposed the weakest link on our team the whole first half. I like you allin but take off the orange and blue tinted glasses.

This is a deceiving stat. It's easy to lead the team in tackles when the other team is running you over and you are hanging on for dear life. Now if he was stepping up and hitting rb's in the hole or hitting them in the backfield, then it's a different story. I've said it for three weeks now, but JH is afraid of contact. He is nothing more than a speed bump or someone to run around.

Sorry for not being clear. Jake sucks, Frost is much better with a huge upside, but who backs up Frost.

Anyone that isn't afraid to hit is cool with me... Speaking of which, it is nice to see us bringing our arms and wrapping up on tackles instead of diving at feet(minus Jake) or trying to blow someone up and bounce off of them.

Rewatched the game this AM. Holland just gets killed all first half. I mean awful. The second half with Therieze, McKinzy, and Frost were much better.

Jake Holland is not d1 talent
I see shitty MAC teams with linebackers who want to hit and make big hits and don't look confused as frick
The fact that Holland is still starting is mind blowing

Frost might as well be the starter anyway. He plays the majority of the snaps when the opponent gets into the red zone and has gotten the vast majority of the snaps in the 4th quarters of our 2 close games. Frost can't play every snap and having Jake listed as the starter ahead of him probably motivates him to improve more than he would if he was listed as the starter.
