He really doesn't. It is so difficult to prove something like libel or defamation.
Ironically, if he is retained assuming the investigation was into the concerns of racism and/or less likely the possible affair with a subordinate both of those are hard to prove. The racism thing is nearly impossible and the school would need PI type work to prove the other if it was a part of the investigation.

I did. I edited my post above. I am saying the opposite - Blueline is saying that.

We should just ignore it and act like it was no big deal. Blame it on social media gone wild and never speak a word of it again. Swallow that shite like a boss and change the subject #energyvampires

He won’t recruit worth a shite because he sucks at it. If he hires some great recruiters and gets out of the way maybe we can have some decent classes.
So I guess the boogeyman behind the scenes was really nothing like I’ve been saying. And the university was doing the due diligence on some type of complaints.
Weird huh

Maybe we should see how it plays out for everyone.

Once rumors began leaky damage was being done, but having the coach we all thought we were going to have next season isn’t a guaranteed 5 or more year death sentence to the program.
Fact.

Like George Costanza going back to work the Monday after he told off the boss and quit.

I have wanted to type this same sentiment several times during this fiasco.
Auburn has survived much worse. Terry Bowden is a great example. This too shall pass.

A disservice to the recruiting discussion are folks melting over an incoming “50-60” ranked class with no top 250 recruits. Because we’ll finish much higher than that and people will feel relieved.
We finished 19th with 3 guys in the top 250. We’re going to finish in the top 20 again. The issue, though, is that the difference between #20 and #5 is maybe larger than #20 and #50.
Anyway, just a warning disclaimer. You can talk about a #19 ranked class as a bad thing. It helps reframe people’s expectations. And that’s better than melting over an unrealistic 50th or 60th ranked class

We aren’t touching 12+ four stars like we got in the 2022 class. It’s going to be barren.
Also, 20th isn’t even close to good enough to be competitive in the SEC West.

Melt. Harsin’s a winner and he’s proven he won’t back down from a fight.

Is it revenge if we win 5 games?

I hope to hell, that our admin has agreed to keep him, with the understanding Harsin HAS to make changes in certain areas he has neglected, weaked, and shown poor results incl:
1. recruiting (relationships w HS coaches, mommas/daddys etc)
2. Better recruiting coaches
3. work with NIL (if it's true he fought it)
4. relate better to ALL players
5. stability in his hires
6. Transfer portal to fill those areas weak in

That is my thing. That is not even good enough to compete in the SEC. Go look at UT's classes over the last 10 years and they were not far off from that number and they have sucked for a while. I hear people talking about at least Harsin saved recruiting and I have to believe their expectations are skewed.

He has an anchor tied around his neck now. Recruiting is only going to get a lot worse.

Right but what I’m trying to point out is that low 4* and high 3* guys count at essentially the same level.

Which is my point. We signed the #19 class in 2020 without a coach on ESD. Our floor is high in that regard but the difference between #5 and #20 is massive.
I’m just trying to steer you guys away from melting over 50th ranked classes because that’s unrealistic for Auburn. #20 is already bad in our conference. Melt about that

Dude the general public thinks Harsin is a dead man walking and he already wasn’t a great recruiter to begin with. I’d be stunned if we touched the top 30.
The most likely scenario is we don’t pick up many commitments at all until he’s fired in December before signing day.
