Was at the game tonight. Here are my thoughts:

We look slooowwww. Maybe it’s just that Harper and brown were so quick.

Okoro is an absolute stud.

Stretch looks great he just needs to calm the frick down a little and focus.

USA’s coach is a lunatic. He makes Bruce look calm.

And now for the LSU portion:
South was aggressive and got called for it in the first half. The refs did not call them for the same shite in the second half. They were even more aggressive.

3 times the USA big man caught a pass and put the ball on the floor then picked it up. Then he held it for a few seconds and put it back down to make a move. The refs finally called it on the third time.

I almost died laughing at the game yesterday.

He pulled his tie off and then tried to rip it apart, to no avail. Someone should make a gif.

We look slow because J'von won't take anyone off the dribble. Harper would initiate the offense with the dribble drive. J'von looks hesitant. Just doesn't seem comfortable in his role yet.

It was awesome to watch. I wish a gif was possible that then melted to Bruce smirking.

IMO we didn't look much different last season until we started running the O through Chuma on the foul line. Okoro is already starting to fill that need. Not having Jared to drive late and either score or get fouled (2 points on FT's) is a huge issue. IMO Samir should have the ball more late. He looks awkward driving but has the ability to get to the hoop and create contact.

Barring significant improvement this is a borderline tournament team.

Most of us have been saying this since the summer. I'm actually very encouraged with the start but just making the tourney should be the goal.

I'm not sure I would even have J'von out there in crunch time when we have to close the game out. Maybe he will improve there but it's a struggle right now.

THat's surprising considering how he played down the stretch to our Final 4. He was dribble driving constantly and actually finishing better than Harper did.

Wasn't there one important game that Harper got in serious foul trouble and Javon handled the point great, and drove and got fouled and scored?

Hopefully he is still trying to figure out how to run the offense w/ different players around him now.
