Sure, we want consistent winning, but if you were around in 2010 and at the NC, then it was a magical year. He finished it and gave us a long overdue NC.
Gus, could have been in that same company, but couldn't bring it home.
I think Gene has always been a good guy and represented Auburn well after he left.
...But man I could not listen to his interviews. He was so dry and he had that one phrase he always liked to use over and over again...but I can't remember it, as I blocked it out of my mind forever.

Now ask yourself what every one of these candidates (and Tubs himself) had in common.

But the fact remains that Chizik is the reason they were at Auburn. We can’t blame Auburn sucking now all on Gus because he’s the HC, and not give Chizik credit when we win an NC. He’s one of two coaches to do so at Auburn. Do I want him back? Hell no. Am I fine with a small banner? Sure, go for it.

This discussion as far as I’m concerned is past the banner. He didn’t deserve it, but whatever. It doesn’t hurt my feelings that it’s there. Discussion now is all of a sudden Chizik is getting more and more credit for that 2010 season. I have to think if Gus was doing well right now, Gus and Cam would still be getting most of the credit

My only gripe with the Chiz banner is that they didn't go with a picture of him in the leather jacket.
