At least the QB controversy is over. Anyone on the Cord train?

Way to go, Gus!

Auburn has 1 QB left. What could go wrong?

And nobody would accuse Johnson of being serviceable.

If he is infact a DTQB, the playcalling wouldnt be that different.

I disagree. He’s shown that he is a threat with his legs, to argue otherwise is just being obtuse. We just aren’t seeing any designed QB runs, and on the stuff he’s reading he is not keeping it (which is his fault). Now I’m not going to sit here and argue that Nix is even close to the level of someone like Marshall (very few are), but the kid has shown enough wheels to break off a 20+ yard run and teams (should) have to respect that.

This offense looks much more like 2017 and 2018. If Gatewood is playing I guarantee you it will look more like 2010 or 2013.

we are falling apart at the end of the year lol

Eh, we're already bowl eligible. We lost to some horrifically bad teams in '08. Even a loss to Ole Luke this weekend wouldn't be as embarrassing as losing to Vandy or Arky that season.

What?

This team is 10x better than that one.

Cord never got a chance to prove himself

He’s no real threat with his legs lol. No defense will respect his running ability enough to put a spy on him which would open up the passing game.
If anything, they want him to run out of the pocket as fast as he can.

He’s our only qb now. Now it’s safe to assume we will see more QB keepers.

That was my second year of college. I was depressed as hell over that team. This team isn’t even in that realm

I always dreamed of whitlow at wildcat
on the 5 yard line and Gatewood out wide kim snaps it to whitlow then whitlow stalls in the backfield and throws a jump pass to joey for the win??

I feel like some of you guys think if a QB isn’t going to bust an 80 yard TD then they’re not a threat.

I'm actually more settled than I've been in a long time about who we are.

We are the best 8-4 team in the country. We will handle all the 7 win teams in pretty dominant fashion, and get handled by all the 9 win teams.

yay.

Well it looks like NCAA football could be coming back so there’s still hope

We lose sight that this team is a really good team. Mostly because we compartmentalize every aspect of the game and blow up the worst parts.

Regardless, this team could have been really great which is ultimately the measuring stick we use. And that’s OK. Disappointment is warranted even if 90% of this board had us at 8-4 or 9-3.

You let me know when defenses start considering his legs a threat. Defenses certainly aren’t over compensating for his arm.

Knew this was a possibility when the camera cut to Gatewood thinking he was about to go in and seeing the annoyed look on his face, with his little yes men group around him seemingly running their mouths too. But when you run the same dumbfrick routes where nobody's open and don't use a TE, I agree. Just send a message and leave. He's never going to put Nix in a position to succeed, and he was willing to sacrifice the season before thinking about pulling him, so can't blame Gatewood one bit.
