It sounds like we will be playing some press coverage, se we have a chance.

True, but if we struggle that badly with Washington St., it probably means we're not a bowl team. I'd like to think we can win 7 games this season.
For all the talk about Malzahn's offense, I hope we see some semblance of an intermediate passing game, which is the one thing that concerns me about that side of the ball. When Malzahn was here as the OC, all of our passes were either quick/bubble screens or verticals 30 yards down the field with a RARE crossing route mixed in there to Darvin Adams every now and then. I'd like to see some simple slants or fades occasionally, especially near the end zone.
I can't remember the last time we scored a TD on a slant or a fade.

I don't really know much about WSU, but it is hard to believe we are 15 points better than anyone until I see it on the field.

couldn't agree more... I think we win somewhere in the 7-10 range. I thought earlier this summer 38-28.... but as of now, i'll say 31-24 Auburn.
Wazzou's front seven is better than most give them credit for, and their offense will score points. They're deep at WR, but the QB is prone to turnovers (Marshall may by too, fwiw).
I think we eventually wear them down in the 4th quarter with our improved OL and physical running game, but it will likely be a tight game.

There are always mistake made thefirst game that get corrected.
We didn't look all that hot against La Tech back in 2009 but improved from there on out. As long as we win, Ill be happy.

Man they are small. If we can't manhandle them on the line of scrimmage, god help us.
