Central Clay County took my Elmore County Panthers to the woodshed, 55-6.

Who is their competition at 5A? We are new here and not doing well... Lol.

*Corch, you are a 5A coach clue me in.

They struggled with Sylacauga last week. Could have been an off week but there if not, there are some teams that will give them a run.

Central Clay County will win that region most of the time. Talladega, Holtville, and Sylacauga will have good teams on occasion. Elmore County has a decent history but just in a bad region for them now.

Central Clay was in a much better region last year with Springville, Moody, and St. Clair.

The realignment moved Leeds up to 5A and Central Clay out of that region. Central Clay with any growth will be 6A and probably be in the Oxford, Clay-Chalkville Pinson Springville region. It's hard to keep up with all the schools that moved in 4A-6A.

Central Clay is a new school created out of Clay County and Lineville. Those were great 2A programs that battled it out every year for the championship. Seems we signed some Lineville players back in the 90's.

Also have to remember Central Clay is the #1 team in 5A and could beat most 6A teams in the state. On a yearly basis other 5A programs like St. Paul's, USM-Wright, Russellville, and Pleasant Grove will be state contenders year in and year out.

Elmore County should be in a good spot in baseball just not football.

Stanford Simmons was from lineville and played in the early 2000's not the 90's. Was a decent defensive back for AU in college but was a 2 sport star in high school. Clay County and Lineville were mortal enemies now they are all in the same high school.

*** edit *** not sure why my old arse keeps doubting myself. Simmons signed in the class of '99.

HT’s OL is their weakness also so should be a big test. Game will be on one of the ESPN channels plus the HuskyFast Network as well.

Obviously everyone wants to see Armoni but check out #1 Finkley and #33 Jackson on HT. If you want to see some crushing blocks from a lead blocker watch 33 some.

ESPNU.

Jacked for this one. Neither team has been challenged yet. Both 4-0, but one of Trussville's wins came via forfeit.

Trussville play calling is bad. Stop trying to run Armoni to the 0 or 1 gap. Get him outside.

How many carries does Goodwin have? I tuned in to watch him, and he’s barely touched the ball.

Floyd has gone full retard. When he has touched it, it’s right into the teeth of the DL.

Told y’all HT’s OL was poor. I didn’t know the DBs were that bad tho.

Getting that butt kicked right now.

Armoni is probably around 10 carries 60ish yards 1TD

“Rocket” Crockett has been huge for Thompson tonight. Not anything flashing like Sean and Armoni but dude is just clicking off 6-7 yard runs every carry. HT’s front is no joke either so that will tell you how bad Thompson is winning the line of scrimmage.

I would like to see Carruth come out and Jackson Holland go in at QB. Run the read option some with Armoni get the offense going some in the run game.
