Anyone watching South Carolina? #8 on offense needs a phone call from Auburn. Dude is huge.

Saw the Dukes scoops podcast with Kenyatta Watson, Kenyatta was down in south Florida recruiting.

His selling message was that you pick the school not the coach. Auburn has had a freshman AA last three years. You watch the games this year, the field is littered with fresh and soph, if you can play you WILL play.

But ask yourself, if you couldnt play football, is it a place you would like to live for the next few years and finish your degree?

Doing the best he can do given the situation. He is one I hope they keep, vital to that Georgia pipeline.

Wondered if he was down there in Florida talking to someone who was talking to someone who was talking to TJ Dice who flipped from us to Florida last year. Could sure use some OTs.

Speaking of Florida, did you see their commit Marquez Daniel visited Tulane last week, according to JLee. Wonder why a kid with offers from most of the SEC schools would be visiting there??????

Didn't realize off the field corches can visit croots off campus.

It is imperative we keep him

Just a general recruiting comment here. I was just looking at some in-state guys over the past few years. How in the world did Mario Craver end up being the best college WR (so far) out of that '24 class that had Cam, Perry, Ryan Williams etc...?

I liked Craver and wasn’t alone on that here. I don’t remember all the details, but at one point it seemed like him vs Bryce Cain

Yeah, I dont remember. My memory sucks.

I may have had Craver and Cain mixed up because I could have sworn he was from the Mobile area. But he played at Pinson apparently. And Cain is from Mobile.

Idk, I just thought it was interesting there were so many WRs rated so high out of that class and he is the one that is a Biletnikoff semifinalist.

Craver played at Clay-Chalkville and yes it was Cain taken over Craver. Both wanted to come to AU. We went with Cain.

Didn't Craver kind of keep holding out and it just got to a point that we had to take whichever one was ready to commit?

Keep hearing people talk the same way about Deshawn Spencer in this class. Lower ranked, smaller size, unbelievable quickness, and wants to be at Auburn.

Never seen the recruiting board more dead. Crazy part is we haven't had as many decommits since the season started to spiral as I thought we would have. I guess recruits can't run to LSU, Florida, Ole piss, or the usual suspects, because many of them are in absolute turmoil like us. If we can keep the guys we have, and maybe get 4-5 good pickups this will be one of the greatest save classes ever. Top 20ish that could have been much worse? What guys are we after? if any?

There will be a lot of high level recruits at the Iron Bowl. Get them on campus and we always have a chance. Should be able to float out the head coach name and probably both coordinator positions as well.

This recruiting class all depends on how much NIL we have after contracts with current players are complete. I figure we probably can get about 5-6 upper level guys and 8-10 SEC depth players and 3-4 complete project players that have high upside potential.

And we have to leave some NIL for a couple OL, couple DL, and absolutely have to have 3 quality TEs. 1 Flex and 2 end of line blockers.
