My wife does data science work for UAB athletes and has showed me these type of graphs from the trackers they use. This is legit speed and not someone hand timing it. Kid may turn out to be a sneaky good surprise for us this year.

He had another one posted that was 21.42 I believe. Definitely has potential to be a under the radar major get.

I think he's more ready for SEC play than Alvin is. Kid is an absolute stud.

lol sorry, she’s very diligent about not sending over proprietary stuff as she works on DoD and NASA stuff mainly so it’s ingrained. The only reason she discussed that was because she needed some feedback as my expertise is in Bluetooth (BLE)/GPS and other real time location systems (RTLS). NFL for example uses Ultra Wide Band (UWB) tracking hardware from Zebra Technologies for its Next Gen Stats. I have worked on that a good bit.

Zion Elee quotes (via JLee):
On Wayne Dorsey:
Freeze and Durkin:
quote:
“It was great,” he said. “The culture for real stuck out. I was talking with some of the players and they just love this stuff. All the freshmen that just came in, they told me how it’s going. They’ve only been here for two weeks and they love it here. They have great things to say about Auburn.”
quote:
“It was amazing seeing my previous teammates,” Elee said. “I was just in high school with them and they’re in college. They’re getting all this treatment. It’s great.”
On Wayne Dorsey:
quote:
“We already have a connection,” Elee said. “We’re trying to build more of a connection. I kind of like really his coaching style. He’s a St. Frances guy and coached some of the greats and great defensive linemen that came from St. Frances and obviously went to other big D1 schools in college and are doing good right now. “So he definitely knows what he’s talking about and he knows what he’s doing. Wayne Dorsey is definitely going to be a big part of my recruiting process with Auburn.”
Freeze and Durkin:
quote:
“I talked to both of them, had a meeting with both of them,” he said. “They were saying a lot about what they have to offer and how great their program is. Coach Freeze is a good guy. He definitely has a bright future with this team. He’s definitely building. He got a lot of guys in this year.”
quote:
“I’m definitely still solid on my recruitment to Maryland,” he said. “But Auburn, I’m definitely still going to be in contact with them because of Wayne Dorsey. I’m building a connection with Auburn even though I’m committed to Maryland.
“I’ll probably get back (to Auburn) for a spring practice or something. Actually maybe just an OV. I don’t know about a spring practice, but definitely they’re getting an OV out of me. What sticks out about Auburn is what they’re building. They have a different culture and have a different defensive staff. They are trying to build.”

Agree with Corch check out the edges we are in play for:
Elee, Harris, Henderson, ones, Carter, Wilkes. All are in the top 80 overall. What a recruiting class to be hunting for edges.

Mabson reminds me a lot of Shivers AKA Worm

Good reference for Mabson. Probably has better feet not the top end speed Shivers had.
Posted on 1/28/25 at 7:47 am to CorchJay
Agreed. Shivers had elite track speed if I remember correctly.

I think Mabson is a lot more well rounded back, at least coming out of HS, but not a bad comparison overall. Mabson is also 200lbs compared to Shivers 175 at best coming out of HS.

Has anyone seen the final 2025 247 rankings?
pretty much all of our top 100 guys including Fegans and Even JARED SMITH got dropped. Malik and a few others maintained position but how the F can you justify that? ???? Deuce Knight balled the frick out in the Alabama Mississippi all-star game to lose 4 spots. Jared dropped from top 25 aaaaaalll the way down to 71. Jordin Crawford is OUTSTANDING and they even dropped him. I know. ..... Who gives a shite but my God. Even the anti conspiracy guys can't justify this one
