Gametime line was between 6/6.5. That last dunk made it 8

We should have been in the NCAA tournament. Never should have been eliminated because of our losses should have been in because of our wins.

We are right where I said we would be before the season. A team somewhere between 25-35. Yet Missouri a team in the 50’s got into the tournament.

Sends a terrible message from the committee to play these ultra hard schedules.

I don’t know why we always seem to schedule so hard. There are a few times it benefits you but more often than not I think m it ultimately hurts things. Obviously you have to beat some good teams, but basketball and football generally, they aren’t going to care about good losses, that just say they do. When it comes down to time to decide, they’re regularly gone the other way, not every time but more often than not.

Pressure cooker practice is a good thing for nepo. He has admitted he has learned a lot this year. He needs more work.

We won but blew an 18 point lead in lightning quick fashion. Like 8 minutes.

Refs were a problem in that stretch but they were also a BIG problem in couple more bad blown leads. Against Tennessee in conference tournament, against A&M and so on. Complaining about the refs will never help. Refs usually start joining mo-mo once players are on their heels. They wont admit to it but they do. Players are less convincing when they are beside themselves.

It takes leaders to stop the slide. Overton is our leader. He is no Batman but he is a great Robin.

You will never see me complain about it. Losing 8 out of 10 to finish the season means A LOT too. If anything that tough schedule is the only reason we were on the bubble.

Well—— if you’re going to do the NIT- win it.

We did.

There are a lot of cons to say about this season.

Yet- we won the NIT with what I think we would all say was a flawed team-

Is an NIT better than a round of 64 exit? Maybe or maybe not- but given all the circumstances I applaud what we accomplished.

I think you could make a decent argument for a team that went through as much ups and downs as this one did, it very well could be the better option for the players/team at least.

covered if pett was .1 second faster

Anyone have a gif of the dunk? Statbroadcast isn’t counting it

Petti has always been head-scratching! He goes cold very often with a lot of inconsistency.

Imagine if we had him at 2 and Philon at the helm

Kevin Overton made himself a lot of money. Hopefully Auburn pays it.

Petitford could use a position change but he needs to remain. He is still Batman. I was jealous of Tulsa's offensive plays. Lot of back door cuts led to open shots.

Freeman, Jovic, and Sway? Well I would keep them but all three are HUGE work in progress. Sway earns all his fouls.

Watching live I don’t think he got it off in time.

In realtime it looked like Petti beat the light

Would love to see what he could do with a PG that can create shots for others more than what we had this year. He is such a good catch and shoot shooter.

Clearly through the net with 0.1; second time we get hosed with points. Make me think it’s rigged for bets.

I wonder it it will change officially, probably not??

Tylen Riley for Tulsa could be a cheaper version of Pettiford if Pettiford decides to leave. Him and Pettiford are both capable of handling the 1 and 2.

Catch and shoot is his money maker.

If he does that well then he belongs on the court. I personally enjoyed seeing him become the recipient of skip passes or swing passes the last month.

If he works on attacking the rim in the offseason then not til he puts up his steady diet of 3s.

Our greatest weakness this year, outside of a true 5, was that Pettiford had to run the 1 constantly even though he’s a natural 2.

The Tylen dude may not be a great PG candidate for us then

He averaged 4 assists a game but more along the lines of a bucket getter. He is dynamic as hell though.

20 wins and momentum heading into the off-season. Nothing wrong with that
