You think Tank is better than Johnson? I hope you're right.
I do. And that is saying something because KJ was a beast

Tre was better than KJ. Durability is an asset.

Yep.

Both had pretty much the same number of career rushes at Auburn.

Tre averaged a full 1 ypc more than KJ over their compared careers.

P.S. Though KJ was much more of a threat in the passing game.

best RB since . . . .

Because it's way to early in his short career. . . way to early.

And because the RB's that have been mentioned manned up and won many a close game for Auburn and that still remains to be seen.

Not better than KJ. Both were great at getting yards with nothing there, but Mason really benefitted from that Robinson/Kozan/Dismukes left side with Prosch behind them.

Mason was a better all around back than KJ and he was 10 times more durable.

Dude was a workhorse and ran north south. I will stand my ground that he was better than KJ, CAP, Dyer and everyone since Caddy. Hopefully Tank can be better but its way too early to make that comparison.

You could tell Mason was going to be a bad arse when they played him a few downs in the 2011 bowl game.

Tre Smith GOAT.

(j/k... I agree with you. I know there may have been times when Mason was stopped for a loss but I don't think it happened very often. Dude was a positive yards workhorse paired with a goddam wizard at QB. Gus Malzahn should hang his head in shame at losing to FSU with those two behind that offensive line on the field.)

At the risk of resurrecting painful memories - during the key plays that cost us that game, those guys weren't on the field...

I was in Gainesville the afternoon that Cadillac broke his leg. Got up to leave and my daughter tells me "You dragged me up here, we stay!" We watched Ronnie Brown take over and almost win the game. You don't arm tackle Tank and you certainly don't "bump" him off stride ..He'll be the SEC Terror on wheels next season. This is just a not count eligibility season destined for display....We could very well be looking at a possible Heisman with Nix as a Senior and Tank listed as a sophomore. Find Offensive linemen and watch this combo take over.

yea, I think the offense did their job. They gave us a 4 point lead with a little over a minute on the clock. Defense has to stop them from getting a TD in that situation. One dive at a receivers feet cost us.

It was the fake punt that everyone called was coming that FSU got.
