Somewhat surprised with Wooten since he opted out last year, but good for him.
Same. He also doesn’t start, I don’t believe.

I’m pretty sure he’s a starter in base.

Harsin says he can return Monday, the 30th

Gonna update football responses in the Harsin Presser

- Bryan Harsin says first offense did well on third downs in the last scrimmage. Somewhere around 60 percent in those situations.

- Player of the day was WR Jackson McFadden with two touchdowns (he’s also the holder)

- offense only had 1 penalty

- No. 1 defense was 70% on stopping third downs
- Defense won the two 2-minute scenarios

- Anders Carlson was 100% on FGs

- Run defense held offense to fewer than 3 yards per carry.

- Harsin on if he feels like AU is behind right now: "Regardless of his circumstances, I would feel like we're always behind. That's a natural feeling, right? ... You never really know that until you go play." Says from an info standpoint he doesn't feel like the team is behind

- Auburn HC Bryan Harsin said the team has now split into squads in preparation for Week 1 — the Tigers finally have a scout team to start showing Akron looks

- There's also something he called "service," where some backups fill in and do some scout-team work for the opponent

- Vandy transfer Donovan Kaufman is the starting nickel right now.

- Bryan Harsin on Auburn DT Tony Fair: "All that guy has done is work since he got here." Says he’s gotten better physically and mentally

- Bryan Harsin on Auburn's QB situation: "If we played a game right now, Bo would be starting."

There are stereotypes for a reason.

Stand alone post

Harsin unveiled the 2 deep at OL

LT: Austin Troxell and Zierer
LG: Brandon Council and Alec Jackson
C: Nick Brahms and Jalil Irvin
RG: Keiondre Jones and Tashawn Manning
RT: Brodarious Hamm and Brenden Coffey

Stutts is working between LG and RG
That’s not necessarily in order but it confirms where guys are competing for the starting gig

WUT?

Those seem somewhat conflicting, no?

Its going to be a long year, isnt't it?

I hope Tennison doesn't end up transferring. He went from getting PT at a freshman, to looking like he should start by the end of the year, to now having to wait behind another freshman.. Hopefully he see's how many we lose after this year.

Not sure how those percentages work out unless 2s and 1s faced eachother some

Which if that's the case you can't really put much stock in it either way.

I mean, if he isnt good enough to earn a starting spot, transfering may not hurt us that much. Depending on how you look at it. I get we need depth but Losing starters really hurts more.

If Kaufman is better he has to start. I'm not saying otherwise... just saying we know how much people like to transfer these days. He will still play a lot for us this year and we need him next year.. just hope he doesn't get impatient.

I would say a little surprising. Jackson moving to guard when he was our starter at LT last year. Manning not starting is a surprise. I think he graded out the top lineman last year.

I haven’t listened to the audio but what I derived was that it’s not necessarily in order. Just gives you where the guys are competing at. Manning could potentially start I’m guessing

Honestly though, how many snaps difference is there between a starter and the #2 guy at a high intensity rep position like DB. Seems like it would be minimal in a modern defense

I mean, a football team requires depth. So, yeah, it would hurt.

Nope, he clearly says the no. 1 defense stopped 70% but the no. 1 offense went 60% conversion probably against no 2. Meaning the other defenses on the field did not fare as well. It also means whatever offense went against the no 1 D only converted 30% of 3rd down plays.

All to say we really don’t know how our offense and defense will do against the no.1’s of other teams. it’s as clear as mud at this point.

15-0 Ship!
