I think he can play, but definitely as a throwback style FB.
But to your point, I'm getting really excited about seeing Donovan Kaufman play. Think he may be one of the biggest steals in the transfer market.

FYI - Harsin and Friend will be moving guys on the OL around during fall camp. Didn’t mention doing it during the season but you have to imagine he’s willing to try different combinations against Akron and Alabama State

Reporter - " Coach, how do you feel about Oklahoma and Texas coming to the SEC?"
Harsin - " When are they coming again?"

Auburn practice notes from 247
AUBURN, Alabama — Practice got under way for the Tigers on Friday morning, with the veterans taking the early shift before the newcomers are set to take this field this evening.
Media members were allowed a 20-minute viewing window in the morning and will get another with the less-experienced players later in the day. Here's what Auburn Undercover jotted down in our notebook during the first practice session of preseason camp.
Note: Auburn has instructed reporters to withhold information about injured or absent players. Any reporting about injuries that occur during practice — or players held out of practice due to injury or unknown reasons — is currently prohibited by the coaching staff.
• A couple important returning starters — wide receiver Ze'Vian Capers and offensive lineman Brandon Council — looked to be full speed during positional drills. Council had braces on both his knees, and Capers was not wearing any limiting gear.
• Safety Zion Puckett was working at full speed after he was limited during spring ball and was in a non-contact jersey at the spring game.
• There were players who certainly constitute as veterans missing from the practice, though it's possible Auburn withheld them from the first session in order to have sufficient numbers for drills with the new players later in the day.
• Offensive line coach Will Friend worked with his group on the back end of the field, and the quarterbacks took some under-center snaps toward the end of the viewing period. The initial offensive-line arrangement was Austin Troxell at left tackle, Tashawn Manning at left guard, Nick Brahms at center, Brandon Council at right guard and Brodarious Hamm at right tackle. Alec Jackson and Keiondre Jones observed from off to the side but participated in other drills later on.
• The second group to rotate in was Kilian Zierer at left tackle, Manning at left guard, Avery Jernigan at center, Kam Stutts at right guard and Hamm at right tackle.
• Transfer defensive backs Donovan Kaufman and Bydarrius Knighten, along with transfer D-linemen Marcus Harris and Eku Leota, were present. Kaufman and Knighten both appeared to work with the safeties and nickels. Leota was with edge rushers Derick Hall and T.D. Moultry, while Harris hung around the defensive ends.
• Veteran cornerbacks Roger McCreary, Jaylin Simpson, Nehemiah Pritchett and Malcolm Askew received one-on-one instruction from defensive coordinator Derek Mason.
• Quarterbacks Bo Nix, Grant Loy and Trey Lindsey worked with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo on quick throws to tight ends. Brad Bedell, Auburn's tight ends coach, served as a defensive back.
• Junior linebacker Owen Pappoe was vocal in leading some drills for the defensive front.

Harsin is kind of weird (not bad necessarily) with the media and what he lets them talk about. Its his team so he can do whatever, but they've mentioned it a few times now.

Chex not trying to start anything but you are way off on your scouting probably just the opposite of what you said. Has extremely good feet. Very quick first step, explosiveness, and acceleration. He just probably tops out at 4.6-4.7ish.
Anyway it’s fall camp we can move away from talking about Sean. Just happy for the kid and truly think he will get his shot in some form at AU. On to the season. WDE. Let’s get some great practices in

Been watching some of the practice footage and Capers and Cannion are exactly what you want in a 2021 wide receiver both listed at 6'3 Plus long and athletic hopefully they have their heads screwed on straight and are able to emerge this season as at minimum above average SEC wide receivers.
