Ford and CAP need to be able to pick up those blitzes to play.
From most reports it seems that CAP is our best blocking RB

He'll need to put some more weight on, but I thought his film was pretty damn good.
Apparently his huddle highlights are private now.

I had hoped we'd hear good things from President this year. Sounds like he will get his chance.

Took a redshirt last year, he'll have a chance to work his way into the rotation this year. I did expect to hear more from him though but the dude still have four football seasons to make an impact
Yeah, the guy has very good size. We may need someone like him to step up in the next few weeks.

I don't think many guys will get a clean shot on our QB when CAP and Prosch are in the backfield blocking

Agreed, which will be great for either of the new QBs that ends up as the starter.
Now if we can just find a WR or two who can get separation, maybe we'll have a decent passing game.

I don't know about y'all but I'm getting pretty pumped for this season. Our defense may or may not have some growing pains, but they will come into their own as the season comes along. On the other side, I believe our offense will have the talent to keep up/outscore anyone while our defense gets their feet under them.

I'm still excited, but I'm taking a step back. The injuries (Ford,Garrett, etc.)and the way some of the battles are working out (Holland,Slade, etc)concern me a little.

I hope Carl Lawson and Elijah Daniels can give us a little reminder of Quentin Groves and Antonio Coleman, only they end up better players.
I think it's inevitable that at least one blows up to all-SEC status quickly. The law of averages has to work out in our favor on the DL. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Is the first a misquote? He isn't going to play faster than AU did last year? Am I reading it wrong?

He was asked if he was going to play faster than the last time Gus was at AU. I'm guessing the above was a misquote.

That will be key, especially for JJ if he gets the nod. Nothing worse than a young QB developing happy feet. I'm coming around to JJ from everything I'm reading; can't wait to see him play.
