I know lower Alabama got hit hard last night? Hope everyone is ok.

No damage here. Two trees down in my yard from the neighbors property and we still don’t have power. Most of our town is out of power.

No power here. Tree fell on the lines across from us. Just loaded the yeti up to hopefully salvage some stuff from the freezer. Mainly our deer meat. Just don’t wanna lose all that.

Still without power in Elmore County.

Pine tree went down in the pasture, patio furniture blown around, no damage luckily.

It was a little freaky to be 350 miles from the Gulf and experience tropical storm force winds early this morning.

Luckily Zeta was hauling arse.

My friends in Birmingham said there was a solid 2 hours of crazy wind and rain. They’ve got power, at least.

Saw some crazy stuff from Mobile

Thankfully we had no additional damage at my place in P'cola.

My piss-poor attempt at a blue roof on my garage didn't hold very well, but I've got a few days to take care of that before the next round of rain. Still waiting on a quote from a roofer.

Folks place in Baldwin Co. only had a few small limbs down. Lost most of the trees near the house to Sally so there wasn't much left to fall this time around.

A lot more wind than rain. It sounds like Chelsea got hit worse than we did in Birmingham. A buddy lost power and they are estimating it will take 2 days to get it back on.

I lost a pillow off a piece of patio furniture. It was devastating.

We were on the same line as Birmingham. We did not get a ton of rain but I’m pretty sure it was gusting over 60mph at times. It rolled fir about two hours here.

My water oak got the neighbor. He just built a nice outdoor kitchen area and 10' cedar fence around his yard. Took out probably 50? of 200 linear feet. Good riddance to that water oak. Its a tree that's not a tree. I'm assuming I just pay the deductable through my homeowners? My neighbor is a pequiliar and prickly man. None too pleased. Its like I kicked his dog or something.

House in Auburn still doesn’t have power

Been doing storm cleanup at our “farm” out in Notasulga but we’ve got power here. No downed trees this time

Im not sure about Alabama but in the state of Georgia, who ever land it falls on is responsible for their property. If my tree fell on your car, I am not responsible for the car.

I believe the exception is if the tree has been previously damaged or is visibly dead. I found it out a few years back when a neighbors tree fell on our fence. The state of Georgia considers it a act of nature

Definitely that way in FL. Neighbor's water oak fell on our car after a mini-tornado about 4 years ago.

Know how you can tell the difference between a live oak and a water oak? The live oaks are all still perpendicular to the ground

Basketball goal went through my windshield. “Safelight repair, Safelight replace” knocked it out before lunch. Zeta was a lot nicer than sally.

We got our power back late yesterday. We didnt lose any food or mixers. Did lose some rum yesterday but that is a different story.

Couldnt work all day so I cleaned up the trees, washed the new truck and cut the grass. Kinda like the old days when I didnt work 20 hours a day.

A buddy driving from Wetumpka to Meridian yesterday said they had it pretty bad in Elmore County, but Selma looked especially hard hit.

And about half a hour north of B'ham most of the changing leaves remained hanging. Although one thumb sized limb almost landed on my truck.

Here the wind was more substantial Thursday (day) as this cold front pushed through. Which was gust front after gust front and real ominous looking, enough I decided to put off epoxy work on my boat. So I'm guessing the temperature differential and lack of steering currents helped sustain Zeta this far in (but no meteorologist).

We lost power for about 12 hours yesterday. My halloween decorations are all jacked-up!
One neighbor lost shingles and another had a trampoline destroyed. But we are all good.
