If they think Carl is a go and not at risk for injury I don't see why we don't play him.

If you think Carl getting a redshirt year is important, understand the underlying implications.

- You think Carl would stay for 5 years and turn down NFL draft twice

or

-You think Carl, who would graduate before his 5th year would not be good enough to go pro before then

No way I would play Lawson this year. His health / career is more important than risking another injury

Zactly. It'd be incredibly irresponsible to play the guy if he's not 100%.

Do you think this guy, who has been injured the entire season and has not take one single snap of football in over a year, is gong to come in to the Alabama game and make some kind of impact?

Yes, yes I do. How many sacks did he have last year? How many sacks do our DE's have this year. My argument was against guys whining about him losing a year of eligibitly. If he is not healthy then I am fine with him sitting, but if he is healthy then play his arse.

I don't know about that. It's game 12 of the season, no one is 100%. Now if he's more prone to injury/re-injury than a similarly situated player, then I agree. I don't know how you quantify that though.

Thats more what I mean....if i were a teammate or a coach, I wouldn't want him taking the risk.

It would be pure stupidity for Carl Lawson to take a snap this year

Justin Hoke just said that Duke Williams is thinking about returning (and is supposedly leaning that way). The decision to leave definitely has not been made.

He needs to return. He was having a pretty good year, but lets get real; he's missing several games with a knee injury. He's going to get a ton of balls thrown his way next year with Johnson at QB.

Yeah, we all saw what he did with Jeremy Johnson in one half against Arkansas.

No, then Nick Marshall returned and the offense changed.
