Do I care? I do. I always will. But I’ve long been numb to the loses.

Well because we don’t have an elite qb to play over Thorne…

Reaching the point where I'm almost ready to non-renew our season tickets (TUF members since 2005 with good seats). It's a huge "investment" in terms of money, time, and energy.

My dad had season tickets in the 80s, let them go and got them back in 1990. This is his last year (he's 80) and he's giving me the option to take them over.

This year is my kid's senior year at AU, my youngest is a Jr in HS, so next year will be no AU students in my fam, first time in 7 years.

I've already decided not to pay for a tailgate next season, trying to figure out if I want to eat the season tickets for next year, in hopes that my youngest ends up at AU in 2026.(which is no longer a guarantee, we had kids at our HS get in to UGA, but not AU last year)

It's a ton of money, I might rather have a beach house for a week. My likelihood of schlepping everything to AU for multiple games next year are low, especially at current performance levels. Maybe the bad taste will be out of my mouth when it's time to write the check?

When we have loosing seasons like this past few years, I get to a point that I don't want to even watch other games. When we are up, I like watching other games especially to see how teams on our sked are doing. Otherwise, in these down years, I just lost that feeling. I still watch AU games but it isn't that great.

I still watch every game, but I don't think I'm near as invested as I used to be.

Think part of it is just getting older and part of it is just how bad the program has been the last few years. I still hit at least 1-2 games a year, but I haven't even done that this year and probably won't.

I would never not watch a game until this free agency took place and how Auburn has performed the last two years. But the game against Mizzou took my son to play golf. Followed the game from the in game thread while playing. Saw we were up 11 and my son and I both talked about how Auburn would lose. Made it to the back 9 on the course and it, of course, came to fruition. Not one single emotion occurred other than a reassuring feeling we were right. I don’t know what that feeling is called but I know I will have a very productive deer hunting season.

I can relate. I miss Auburn football of the 2000s -2014. I’ve gotten to where I don’t have set Auburn gear I wear each Saturday any more. I no longer expect to win so when we lose it doesn’t ruin my whole weekend anymore. It’s disheartening because Auburn football was invented most important thing in my young adult life

I say I care all the time.

Well, I don’t literally say it. Don’t literally mean it.

But I’m anything but uncaring.

My Dad had season tickets when I was growing up and I would go to games with him. This was when you could easily tailgate all around campus and Auburn was a much more easygoing place. I graduated from Auburn and have been a fan my entire life, so I'll always care.

During Gus' tenure, I really had a hard time with how we played. I hated that style of football and still do, so when the pendulum swung on the Gus years, it really got hard to be very passionate about Auburn football, though I'd still watch. With Harsin and now Freeze, it's just kind of comical. I still follow the games, but I don't have a problem splitting my attention at all. After all, college football went all in on it being a TV sport and pricing games to the point TV is what most people can afford...and Auburn was no different.
