Nobody knows how good Deuce is…as of now he’s just a hype machine based on his measurables

I wonder if part of the decision to transfer was Cam Coleman putting some bugs in his ear about the greener grass.

Cam left but be never trashed Auburn
Deuce is just a bitch

I think Golesh will show up each day, unlike Huge Freeze, and if Alex does show each day that will be a positive.
Huge was a piece of shite and should have never been hired.

I didn't say he trashed AU. However he went to what he thinks is greener pastures of Texas. He did shop around. Seems Cam was trying to get a deal with him and Deuce at AU and Deuce be the starter.

You don't think he's going to sit playing behind a Heisman candidate?
I know reading comprehension isn’t everyone’s strong suit but literally in the comment you are responding to he said “When he made the decision, one was up in the air. The other was definite. Golesh is playing his USF offense.”
So at the time, yes it seemed like a good chance to have more PT at Ole Miss

We went and got another system guy. System guys use their players.
Um this is a bit short sighted. Yes, he played for Golesh previously. But the dude was one of the top transfer QBs in the country that FOR ONCE we don’t have to talk ourselves into supporting. Be it JF3, TJ Finley, Calzone, Thorne, or former 5* plus Jackson Arnold who was just in a bad situation at Oklahoma with backups to walkons on the OL and waterboys playing WR.
No we brought in a kid who did something only 11 other QBs in the history of the game have accomplished. Someone with a proven track record in the offense we will be running.
Now as you said we are firmly in the crapper, so who would you rather try and climb out of that crapper with? Someone who doesn’t have the first clue how to run the offense but has the measurables with 1 start against a terrible Mercer team, or someone who has intimate knowledge of the offense who has put up better numbers than any qb we have had in our history? Yes it was mainly vs g6 but dude went into the swamp and bent the gators over like a red headed step child and played national runner up Miami better than any QB all season including the Heisman Trophy winner…
So saying Golesh just picked his players is a bit short sided when it comes to the QB position. Brown could have gone and started for close to 90% of all teams out there.
Brown is a bonafide STUD not just a “system guy.”

Could have made the same argument for Hugh. We don't know what Golesh will do with what we have.
i’ll make that trade every time
i firmly believe it will translate to a better record despite a much tougher schedule, but the jury is obviously still out

I don't know if we upgraded the coaching staff or just the leadership of the head coach. I would feel better about the USF coaching staff if they had won their conference or at least finished top 2.
That said, I can't say Duece screwed himself. He probably took a big pay cut but he back home and playing behind a QB that's gonna get early Heisman buzz. They'll be a lot of eyes on OM these season. If Duece can grow up, he could take advantage of this opportunity.

Based on how he acted with Auburn, zero chance he stays at OM to sit

I'm not really arguing Brown versus Deuce, just saying how Deuce might have viewed the situation with Golesh bringing in two USF QBs and most of the offense. How Brown does here remains to be seen. SEC competition is a different level. But yeah, it's a no brainer to take Brown and it's also clear why Deuce immediately jetted when it happened.

for goodness sake dude. They inherited 1-11 and a team that won 4 games in three years. They went 7-6 year one and only went 7-6 year two because byrum got hurt. They then went 9-3 this year. Trent dummy Dilfer inherited a new stadium and a team coming off of a bowl appearance 5-6 straight years and ran them into the dirt. My point is that one game more for some title would be nice but sheesh, it's clear that this guy can do it. My question is can he repeat this in the SEC.

the previous staff may actually be good at their jobs, but when the boss is (allegedly) playing golf and skipping meetings in game weeks and making excuses in postgame pressers, how hard are they gonna work
so yeah, based on appearances we upgraded the staff as whole

How is it clear that this guy can do something that he's never done??? I dont understand why folks like you get so worked up when an unproven coaching staff gets questioned. I take it you've watched an Auburn coached team in the past 5 years right? Anyway none of this is on topic for this thread. I've no idea why you chose to focus on a justified critique of the staff and run with it.

Under what you highlighted I questioned if he could do it in the (SEC). It's was right there. I'm saying it's clear that he can do it at Division one my guy. (Maybe not you) But many of the critiques seem to be connected with the previous staff. Like people questioning the play calling duties because of what happened with Freeze. That's what has me bothered.
