Irrelevant electives should not be a requirement for graduation. I get why electives can be important to an overall expansion of a college experience but an "elective" specific topic should not be required. Just make it a humanities elective required. My humanities elective were Music Appreciation and Theater Set Design (taught by a flamboyant (gay) theater freak). Both ranked in the top five classes that I actually enjoyed.

Auburn absolutely missed out on Jon Sumrall. I may be biased because Jon
is an alumnus of the same high school as me, 18 years later than me, but I saw him play in high school. Jon was a difference maker on his high school team, very competitive and tough as nails.
Jon is building a team at Florida on both sides of the ball starting from the line of scrimmage out. He brought in a top notch coaching staff and has support of key people, including the old ball coach, Urban Meyer, Tebow and others. Florida gave him the keys to car and told him to drive. He reminds me of a young Pat Dye, who he gave praise after the win against Auburn . Jon's dream job was probably Auburn or Alabama since he grew up in the state but Florida is a top notch program with unlimited resources. He may not go undefeated this year but Florida will competitive this year.
Auburn on the other hand has a booster problem, too many cooks in the kitchen who want to stir the pot. I almost long for the days of Bobby Lowder, almost.
Personally, I am sick of the see how many plays we can run a game high school offense. Elite linemen hate this offense, I rather watch a team that dominates both lines of scrimmage.
My opinion, hell yes we missed out. Just my .02
