Ahh gotcha. I assumed they struggled some since we already had relief around 50 pitches.

As bad as we played we are still a good baseball team. Let’s get hot at the right time.

Go back and look at my post. I said we just need to weather the injuries and get healthy and into the post season. Our healthy staff can get us deep into the playoffs.

OM wins game two. Never good when you lose when Tanner Burns starts.

thats 2 weeks in a row, we haven't won when Burns was pitching. We seem to get that one win, but not the one we expected.

Always puts us in a hole to win a series going into Sunday.

Very much so. Was really good to see Jack back and throwing well. Him healthy should allow us to only use the freshman one time through the order.

Davis Daniel out for the season. Having Tommy John surgery. No bueno.

Is he a senior? Pitchers think the TJ surgery can make their elbow stronger in the long run.

He is a junior this year. I am curious to see if he returns to Auburn for one more year.

He may not have a choice. Death blow to our season.

A bit of hyperbole, eh? Huge loss? Definitely. Death blow? No. We still have two really really good starters out there. We can still make some noise in the NCAA tournament

With him, we are a CWS team. Without him, supers at best. So yes, a blow.

It will all depend on how the freshman continue to improve.

You have to think Davis goes pro this year. Money is much bigger for juniors than seniors. He will likely be a 10-15 round guy this year. Could maybe work his way into the top 5 rounds with a dominant year next year but the money will likely not be any better.

We have a chance to have a very good team next year depending on who all leaves this year. My opinions:

Gone for sure:
Schilleci (Senior)
Olson (Senior)

Eligible leaning leaving:
Julien
Woley
Scheffler
Daniel
Anderson
Holland

Eligible leaning staying:
Lau
Horn
Henderson
Hall
Davis
Gray
Watson

Back for sure (pending transfers):
Ward
Warner
Eaton
Johnson
Bliss
Hoerter
Howell
Fuller
Moore
Greenhill
Luttrell
Glavine
Sweatt
Bearden
Skipper
Burns
Morrison
Wade
Williams
Fitts
Owen

So at most we lose two of our top 10 arms (Daniel and Elliot) and one of those has been a non factor this year. Could lose most of the infield but return the entire outfield. Right now we have the #12 recruiting class in the country that includes two top 100 players. We should be pretty salty next year.
