Didn't we have a sticky'd thread with all the places to eat and drink in Auburn along with tailgate info and alike? We are going down Friday and needed some options. We also plant on going more for game day now that the kids are gone.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Are you allowed on the Auburn board if you don’t already know all of this stuff?
Posted on 8/14/19 at 1:02 pm to Weagle25
I just don't get down there as much. Now that the kids are gone, the wife and I are going to more games.

To be fair, the city has changed so much just in the last 2 years, a thread like this probably isn't the worst of ideas

I hate sounding this old, but I wish yall could have been there back in the mid 90's. The differences between then and now are amazing.

Food
No-brainer downtown food choices:
- Moe's Original BBQ
- The Hound
- Acre
- The Depot
- Little Italy (after a few drinks, obviously)
- Fusion
- Mike and Ed's
- Tacorita/Taco Mama (both are okay)
- Draft House
- Hamilton’s (for Rig’s sake)
- Ariccia
Best food in Auburn (not downtown):
- Pannie George's Kitchen
- Savanh Thai Kitchen
- Taste of Asia
- Fratelli’s
- Sushiya
- Sushi Bistro
- Umami
- La Plaza (by Winn Dixie)
Beer/Cocktails
Downtown choices:
- Avondale (overpriced but decent atmosphere)
- Live Oaks (food is meh so eat first)
- Moe's/1716/Sky (if you want to hang with the youngins)
- Mama G’s (Thach)
Downtown Opelika choices + food:
- Irish Bred Pub (food has markedly improved and they obviously have drinks)
- Resting Pulse (new brewery with very good beer (much better than Red Clay))
- There's a speak easy across the street from Resting Pulse. Won't be hard to find and it's damn cool.
- Red Clay
- John Emerald's Distillery
- Zazu (good food + drinks)
- Ampersand Wine Bar

The Waverly Local needs to be on that list

Hamilton’s is a staple downtown too

I left Auburn just 3 years ago and it's already changed so much.
Draft House downtown is underrated. Also, Momma G's Thach location has a great draft selection and is a great sit and drink for hours hang.

I’ve been in Auburn too long - the Waverly is too far a journey for me now .
As for Hamilton’s.... I guess so. I’m not a huge fan, personally.

Draft house is decent, for sure. Good wings.

Mellow Mushroom first opening up was a gamechanger in some ways.

Is it bad that I've never heard of any of these? Damn I need to get back to Auburn more.

Outside of Pannie George’s and La Plaza they’re all relatively new. Any one of those, though, will leave you happy with your choice.

Disappointed there were no Italian Restaurants listed. I always want to find good local Italian, but I guess i'm not going to find it in Auburn?

shite, you’re right, totally forgot about a newer place on South College called Fratelli’s. It’s fantastic, actually. Authentic Italian and kicks the shite out of Ma Fia’s.
