Why tf would beating Missouri be enough to save his job? He should be relieved now, regardless of anymore game results.

It’s all about optics. The rest of the country and coaches will see they fired Harsin mid season. Freeze has lost close games to 3 top 10ish teams 2 on the road and in 2 games got absolutely hosed by the officials.
I’ve heard regardless the season Freeze can still remain if he gets an OC and turns the offense completely over. I’m sure that comes with a lot of caveats meaning the new OC can bring in whoever he wants on that side of the ball. Cohen and couple of the boosters are still all in on Freeze.

Everybody outside and in can see what shite product Hugh freeze is putting out. Not one person on earth would blame Auburn for firing him. That’s a dumb narrative.

Bro, please don't start this shite man.
1) The rest of the coaches in the country are not retarded. They know who is doing a good job and who isn't.
2) The rest of the coaches speak to each other. They know what is going on behind the scenes (re: Bryan Harsin).
3) In case you have been asleep, coaches have been getting fired mid-season left right and center. This is literally the new meta. Nobody is waiting until the end of the season to fire coaches, so to argue that we are going to be "penalized" for firing some shithead failure during the season is a room-temperature IQ take.
Using this logic, who the frick is going to want to take the Penn State job? They fired a highly successful coach who nearly made the National Championship game just a season ago over three fricking games. Golly gee, this must mean that they won't be able to hire anyone! Why would any other coach want this job where they are SO MEAN to the coach!

I am all for Freeze losing his job after the season as that helps with the buyout.
But losing 4 close contests to ranked teams and then pulling the plug. saying no thanks to a reduced buyout looks very rash.
As of this moment the team hasn't quit on him yet.

Lots of players are about to hit the portal. Just as expected. It’s not like we are the only team that will pay these guys. Nobody wants to play for a loser when you are a hired hand. They didn’t grow up wanting to play for Auburn. They are hired to play here
Totally new optics.

Yall fight it out. I’m just passing along information

I see it the opposite way. Every coach knows CHF has had way more than required to be winning games at Auburn. I feel like firing him now puts out a message that we will not accept mediocre no matter who you know at Auburn

He's probably should've answered those questions a lot better

Whole RB room is a dumpster fire. If Alvin isnt hurt just play him the rest of the year.

He's about as average as you can be when it comes to an SEC back. He looked good early in the year against terrible competion.
Need to overhaul that entire group if Freeze sticks around

A lot of players have posted on social media I. Support of him.

How many carries has he got?
Everybody on here said Cobb was better anyway. Maybe that's why Alston wasn't getting carries...
Cobb averaging 6.5 ypc
Alston averagine 4.0 ypc
He lost his starting spot and now wants to quit?? Cant cut it, then bye bye.
I have no empathy for college football players anymore. Even ours. They are highly paid employees now that may or may not be here next year. And to quit mid season.. yeah, if he leaves, he leaves. Don't care.
Freeze sucks, but you stick it out and show your mettle to your teammates..

That would be Alston. Alston may not even be averaging 2 yards per carry.
Cobb at least can pop out for a chunk play every now and then.
Pretty sure you got your backs mixed up.

For comparison sake
In SEC Play:
Alston: 2.8 ypc on 16 carries and 44 yards
Cobb 5.9 ypc on 24 carries and 139 yards

I feel like Cobb is good, he needs more carries.
Maybe it's just me though.

Yea, reading between the lines, he most likely came in and asked for a redshirt. Hugh told him no for obvious reasons, and Alston either decided not to show up on Monday or in that meeting the understanding was made that if he wasn't allowed to redshirt he wouldn't be playing and that was that.
