Trying to decide what to eat. I thought about grilling some sausage dogs. This year football season means jack shite to me with it not feeling like football season at all. I’ve been more n the golf board than anywhere.

Finishing up at work, getting ready to go home and enjoy our weekly neighborhood happy hour.
Last week, my wife had invited a guy from her old highschool, whom she only knew from Facebook. Much to her surprise, he showed up, and ended up being the life of the party. Turns out he was a multi-sport athlete who ended up playing baseball for Mississippi State and was a minor leaguer for a few years (he's in his 50s now).
While he was still in highschool, he was being recruited as a football player (a sport he had the skills to play but never liked). Pat Dye came on a recruiting visit his senior year and they got to talking. He was telling Dye about the challenges he faced getting a college education (came from a broken home, education wasn't valued in his family, etc).
Dye told him to remember one thing: "Half the people you meet in life won't care about your problems - and the other half will be glad you got 'em."
He said that ever since Dye said that, he'd been a Pat Dye fan.

Just finished Greek style chicken, rice stuffed grape leaves, with fresh basil feta tomatoes and sliced cucumber dipped in baba ghanoush.
Had the day off.

Had the Helix 9 installed on my little jon boat today. Navigation lights and wiring should be here Monday so I can get her water legal. Taking her deer hunting before Thanksgiving.
5K in the morning. Taking it easy tonight.

Just bummed about another weekend of no football. The Chiefs have a bye too this week. And my XC season is over.

Yep. This board has been dead. Folks are depressed in these parts, COVID, the election, football cancellations. It's bad.
I had a few hours with the Mrs (no pics) this evening, sans kids. We did a tour of Auburn with our middle child on Wednesday and it was top notch. Definitely a tour for folks with $ to donate. Me, I'll have 2 students there simultaneously. Nothing left to give.
Tongiht, I finished what was left from the bottle of Basil Hayden's and the Mrs (no pics) had a couple of drinks made w/ her Patron.
Reverse sear NY strip in the oven and cast iron finish for our date. I've tried 3 different times w/ the process and finally nailed it tonight. Steak was perfect. Finished a bottle of wine and maybe part of another and she's (no pics) in the tub relaxing right now. That means...I'm about to finish this week right. Good night gents.

I haven’t been contributing as much but I’m as good as ever. Yard and home in perfect condition heading into the winter. Spare wood for the fire place covered and dry. Replaced the shocks and struts on the old truck. Best shape of my life.
Only mildly disappointed with the football season but I had low expectations to begin with considering the turnover on the lines + the pandemic. Hoping to come out well on the bourbon lotteries I’ve entered

Just got in from a morning fishing trip. Bout to shower and do some Beer Can Chicken today on the new Primo grill.... First attempt as smoking something on it.
Having a few friends over today. Probably watch more of the Masters than football till it gets dark
Yall hang tight.... Things will get better. They always do.

Fixed your title.
Lots of stuff is bad but none of it would matter if Auburn was undefeated right now.
Georgia has no QB and they spanked us.
USC? Please.
The apathy in the fan base is due to one person.
