Where all the names at? I wanna see these names.

From FootballScoop:
quote:

Quick update this afternoon regarding a number of Liberty staff members who are expected to join Hugh Freeze at Auburn.
Kent Austin - co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks at Liberty

Maurice Harris - co-offensive coordinator / receivers at Liberty

Ben Aigamaua - tight ends at Liberty

Jeremy Garrett - defensive line at Liberty

Dom Studzinski - associate head coach - strength at Liberty

Matt Blevins - chief of staff at Liberty

AK Mogulla - director of player personnel at Liberty

Kennedy Harvey - director of recruiting analytics and operations at Liberty

Further, the staff members listed as coming might wind up in slightly different roles at Auburn (potentially analyst type roles); but they are part of the group heading to Auburn sources confirm.

All those names maybe true but FootballScoup hasn't be as accurate the past 4-5 years as they were years ago.

But I'm not sure why people are melting down. Hugh is the "splash".

Get a staff that all works in one direction and actually gets out and sells Auburn to high school recruits.

The only on the field coach they have that has not been confirmed is the Co-OC/WR. But Grant Heard has already filled WR, so maybe he will be in an off the field role.

ETA: but I do agree FootballScoop is not a great source.

This dude recruited DK Metcalf, Laquon Treadwell, AJ Brown, and Van Jefferson. Also coached Donte Moncrief into a #1 receiver after he joined staff at OM. Why are y’all acting like this isn’t a great hire for WR coach? Outside of maybe Seth and Darvin Adams (and maybe Duke Williams for a brief stretch) we have not had a dominant #1 playmaking receiver over the past 15 years. Partly due to the offensive style we’ve run, sure. But this would be a good hire unless he has just completely fallen off and I’m ignorant of that

I am actually intrigued by this hire...he has an extensive background and is the one who worked with Willis and turned him around some. Go take a look where he has coached. (hint familiar with a passing game)

The article said that they could be in an off field role as well and not necessarily a coordinator/on field coach.

I think Heard is good. Also kinda surprised after those receivers that he went on to Indiana then UCF. Seems like he would’ve continued on to larger jobs

Seen a lot of Barry Odom speculation, apparently him and Freeze are tight

I hope he looks at Arnett at MSU too

I agree he’s a good hire.

I still don’t understand all the love and hype over Ike. Our WRs were not very good this year, and could not get open. What did he do that was so great?

Think we liked the idea of him a lot, and him and friend did a nice job with playcalling. To be fair the WR didn’t have much chance to shine this year bc of QB play, so we really don’t know how good of a coach he actually was

Why would anybody expect him not to bring a lot of his coaches with him? I remember when Tubbs was hired he brought over a lot of his guys. It’s kind of expected. He already has guys that he trust and can run his system. If he just hires for the name you have a bunch of parts they may not make up a whole..

Most all those names were off field. There DL coach was good #1 in tackles for loss and #3 in sacks in the NATION.

Would’ve liked some guys that are currently recruiting guys in this and next class. Obviously, Liberty isn’t recruiting many guys we are. It just helps.

It’s not everything. Just would help in the short term. I think a lot of these guys will be good recruiters anyways

I see that as well. But I really do think once we hire a coach we need to give him control, esp of his staff.

No excuses, if he brings them in they need to meet expectations especially in recruiting well.
