n paper, but that doesn't always lead to success on the field or are you suggesting it's due to CR's coaching only?

No, not at all. Ultimately though, something isn't working there. The play top to bottom was very poor this year though. Guys continuously out of position, lost in coverage, poor tackling. Recruiting wise there hasn't been much done either. We have nobody so far this year (obviously there are circumstances here but every coach was dealing with this).

He pushed back against Jeremy Garrett being an underwhelming hire because he is simply from the south, he assuredly has HS connections from his days as QC defensive grunt at Vanderbilt, and he played in the SEC in 04. That is why he is pushing back.

CRob has spent his whole coaching and playing careers in the SEC, so he is assuredly going to push back against that lol.

Zero reason to be negative right from the start.

Abysmal play on the field is a very valid reason to have a concern. LB regressed top to bottom from last year.

for starters ... 1 year, also no opportunity to recruit.

Okay. And in that 1 year I haven't been very impressed.

So....

Sort of don't want. As I said.

Yeah, just work out a few on the field issues and we're golden. (sarcastic exaggeration for the point). The staff is about getting into and staying around high schools.

I hate I missed it. Salmon is trash fish. I don’t understand why people like it so much. Fish shouldn’t taste fishy.

Can you name me one example of someone who took a new job, and didn't bring a single coach over with him? Statements like this are presented as if this is supposed to be abnormal practice.

I can name the exact spot in the post you’re responding to where I said it was a joke.

I’m gonna paraphrase as I don’t remember exactly, but didn’t Freeze say at the presser that the names of the folks reaching out to join his staff really surprise everyone, or something like that? Just wondering because it’s been mostly Google names so far.

Are you telling me you’re not actually pushing back against CRob being underwhelming?

Weren’t you the guy making assumptions that Garrett has high school networks based on his coffee go-getter days at Vanderbilt and you’re talking to me about assumptions?

My main issue with CRob is his recruiting he hasn’t landed anyone this year and can guarantee playing time. They aren’t even in it with a big player at LB.

We like our linebackers to be lost and out of position I guess

We don’t even know if CRob will be back, just that him and Etheridge were not on the list of those let go. Maybe he will have an off the field role if retained.

With this much immediate staff turnover, do we accept a bowl invite (if offered)?

No bowl for AU.

Brett McMurphy reporting that New Mexico State got their waiver and are in. Last two spots are Rice and either Buffalo or UNLV.

Hugh didn’t want to watch bowl practices so he obviously lost on purpose to NMSU last weekend. Right?
