He "lost" the fan base yet we keep showing up. We had more fans at the Sugar Bowl than Oklahoma who just went 10-2 and won the conference.

Not everybody is a whiny bitch like y'all.

If Stidham is even 75% of what is promised, we should win 10 games this year. That easily buys him at least a 2nd year

I was told that 8 wins likely won't save his job next season.

We were told this shite last year. The only things that died was a butt load of actors and SW's arm.

I won't be renewing my season tickets for next year. Nor will others in my family.

If you think there won't be a drop off in ticket renewals then you are naive

If we have a similar season next year and make a bowl game, I'm sure as shite not flying somewhere and paying money to watch us embarrassingly get our shite pushed in again like I did this time. I might go to Clemson since it's early but if we start struggling in season and see anything like the qb rotation or FB whirlybird passes on 4th down aka not beine COMPETITIVE, I'm not going to fly to ATL, shuttle down, pay for a hotel to go to a home game just to watch a clown show. We don't have to win every game for me to be supportive but you've gotta field a capable team at AUBURN.

It's the same reason I never fly back to Buffalo for a Bills game. They don't do what it takes to become a winning organization. They try to gimmick fans into buying tix like signing T Owens, hiring Rex Ryan like I'm afraid Auburn is with Stidham when the real problem is the same - the front office and coaching. Not worth it when I can smh at the TV and get on with other things in my life. Make changes and AT LEAST be competitive or you're not getting my business.

Gus has lost me. I personally don't see him recovering. With that said, there are signs within the program that he won't be fired. Recruiting is going well, although some have questions about who he is recruiting. But either way, we continue to pull in top 10 classes. Players aren't robbing and kidnapping people. Always a plus. Nothing shady is going on. Gus seems to play the game well when interfacing boosters, alumni, fans, and administrators. He seems to be well liked with the academic side, which if you know anything about our past, that has been an issue. For the program, it would be better for us if he can correct his offensive issues. That would save us from a complete rebuild.

Auburn will need to win two of LSU, UGA, and Alabama for Malzahn to keep his job, in my opinion. We'll also need to look competitive in every game. He could win 9 games next year, but if Auburn loses to those three again, he's gone.

The question is will Gus progress or will Stidham mask the issues like Cam or Marshall? My hope is he moves forward, my gut says he will not and we will be good enough to retain him until Barrett flops.

In a discussion yesterday with a Gator fan he said a Defensive minded head coach pulls in the right assistants to make his on field talent work, but an offensive coach has to have the talent to make his schemes work. Made perfect sense to me and explains our flaws.
