The evidence is in the numbers. They are posted for all to see above. I actually think the swapping of both QBs have hurt both of the players performance. Choose one and play them. If they fail replace them.

Do you think Throne can eclipse in 12 games what Ashford did in 9 last season? Very doubtful

Drives where Robby Ashford played a majority of snaps.

Now do how many of those were killed by subbing Throne in.

I have no idea but we have 5 games to go. We aren’t comparing the 2 to last season we are comparing the 2 on this season.

You Robby’s cousin or something. Never seen someone so invested in a bad player. What’s the real bias because there has to be something

The subbing has been bad for both. That’s why the whole premise of the stats were which QB played the majority of the snaps

Are you Throne’s uncle, because I could ask you the same thing? He doesn’t have a stronger arm, faster, more accurate, or anything better than Ashford does.

I’m not defending Thorne. I don’t think he has performed well at all. Even said I hoped Robby started the Ole Miss game where everyone could see the offensive problems aren’t just QB.

The only defense of Thorne has been my belief that he is the best QB on the roster proven by stats and how the coaches have used him as the number 1 guy. Thorne is the better passer and strangely enough been the better runner against good teams.

Both QB's have been hurt by poor WR play.

I’m out of this discussion it’s gone on all season. I bet you don’t hear any boo birds when Thorne is announced the starter this week.

Well, it's what we have to argue about sir. I don't see another QB entering the mix to change the argument this season, do you?

I like jville think he’s a good poster. Loves Auburn I can tell. I respect. I just don’t understand the bad QB takes. Gatewood was one thing. Ashford is a whole other level.

Athletic doesn’t make a good QB. It can help a good QB but doesn’t make the QB good. If so just grab a WR or DB and put them at QB

Just hoping for a Nick Marshall clone. He was fun to watch.

I think most of us at this point would just prefer the staff to pick one and roll with him. It’s clear, at least to me, that one isn’t really that much better than the other. And they’re making them play worse by never giving either one a chance to gain confidence or momentum. The Robby “packages” aren’t working so there’s really no point in switching back and forth between them if that’s the reason for it.

Maddening to watch

If I have two shitty QBs. One runs the plays I call and one runs what he wants to run.

I play the one running the plays I call all day. I don’t care which ones better.

Agree

and Throne will never make a roster in the NFL.

Ashford has the chance at a different position. Ashford needs to stop this mini midget battle and think about his future.

seems to me that if you're going to try what Ashford did, the fake has got to be much much better. really ride the ball up in there almost like an option QB, then pull it. The Defenders could clearly see the RB didn't have the ball and stayed put. Either that or give to the WR on the sweep.
