I spent 5 year on staff, some of the dumbest shite I've ever seen happened in the AD.

MORE CHANGE COMING:

Up to two more rounds of potential staff changes and restructuring are expected, sources tell Auburn Undercover.

GREAT STATEMENT:
Greene added that he wants “there to be turnover in our department. "I think that it's healthy to have natural turnover. We want to have people who are ambitious, who want to come into Auburn, give us all they've got a for whatever number of years and then be ready to go to take a job someplace else that is in their best professional interest."

A football coach called me one day to ask why a piece of software wasn't opening when he clicked the icon on his computer. So I walked up to his office to figure it out. Turns out he had it minimized.

He didn't realize you could minimize programs.

seriously doubt that you have what Jacobs duties were and how he handled them.

Even if you doubt his claims, it isn't hard to find out that Jay Jacobs either delegated a lot or hired a bunch of high salary pencil pushers.

As in here is a quote from the 247 article
quote:

Auburn was paying an estimated $3.35 million to 12 senior staff members per year, according to records. Alabama and Georgia had eight and nine senior staff members, respectively, in their departments as of November. Auburn was paying nearly $1 million more than Alabama on its senior staff, and that was before the salary of newly-hired chief revenue officer Mike McBride was revealed.

Yep, but everyone is just irrationally bashing Jacobs with no basis at all.

Jacobs wasn't all bad or all good, but for some reason people refuse to believe he could be successful in some ways and sh*t the bed in others

Agreed. My point was he wasn't good at the day to day part of being an athletic director. Fortunately for Auburn, they had enough money to throw at problems to get that part done. It was still a mess though.

Auburn hires Notre Dame Associate AD LINK
quote:

Notre Dame’s Brant Ust has been hired as an associate athletics director of administration, Auburn Undercover has learned.
quote:

He's going to help support the day-to-day operations of the athletics department," Greene told reporters. "All the internal stuff, working with (chief operating officer) Marcy Girton to make sure that we're efficient and effective in serving our student-athletes."

Everyone's ticket prices have gone up

You can still tailgate old-school on campus

I admire your dedication in trying to rationally convince the fevered haters.

Good luck with that.

But not like we once did... The way it was intended. Trucks, bars, kegs, tents on Parker Hall and debauchery that did not require a corporate tithe
