Except if your Gus Malzahn.

Gus just came down from the top rope on Rhett, Chip, and Dilly

Gus is in full buyout mode. Let's just hope this is finally the year he receives it.

I’m keeping my expectations low on the noticeable change we’ll observe from this. Hopefully the passing concepts are overhauled.

Gus & Play Calling (Lindsey Edition)
Gus & Play Calling (Lashlee Part 1)
Gus & Play Calling (Lashlee Part 2 / Dilly)
Gus & Play Calling (Chad Edition)
This is fricking stupid... Go home Gus, you're drunk.

How many years of flipping and flopping on this subject has Gus entertained us with?
Well- great answer posted just above.

I am too, but with a little more positive results reason:
Of all the 'so-called' OCs Gus has had, Morris is the FIRST coach that has this much experience in all aspects of coaching(HC,OC) w/ good results at the college level(Clemson, SMU).
I realize, those of us who on here, have been burned before...so the proof will be in the upcoming season.
One thing for sure...I think we will know fairly easily if the plays we see on offense are still Gus-only or Morris-w/ a little GUs thrown in.

There’s just no way Gus is gonna pull that football away this time.

For what it’s worth, play calling and control of the offense are separate issues

Didn't he say a little over a year ago that he would never relinquish playcalling duties again?
On second thought: it can't be any worse. Can it?

I think the proposed difference here is that Morris is calling plays for the offense he installs and has control over where Rhett and Chip were coaching Gus’s offense and calling Gus’s plays.
The question becomes how different is Chad’s offense from Gus’s at this point. And how long does it take to install?

I am all for it as long as Malzahn really does let him take control and install his offense. I guess we will see if there is any difference.
Like I said, it can't be any worse I don't think.

I said it last year. Its just one big fricking circle. Back and forth. Calling, not calling, calling, not calling
Just let Gus call the plays and keep with that for a few years. It is probably better if it is all on him.
Just stop changing every damn year...
