Can we talk football.

No more bashing Gus or praising him. I like Gus but I love Auburn. Can we talk football. The season is coming up soon. I believe we can win 9-10 games and maybe more this year. Maybe some one closer to the program can give their 2 deep offense and defense . What is our offense going to look like . I check on some Boise St games but could not get a feel from highlights. It did seem to be more down field throwing. We need to let Tank loose. Anybody talk some football to me .
What did Dre son say about the visit ? It most likely kill his dad to put that Auburn id around his neck.

I am leaning towards a win at PSU as well. The environment will make it difficult, but I just don't think they will be a very good team.
Would certainly revisit after they play Wisconsin.

Elko has produced pretty good defenses. I think they return 9 starters this year from a defense that was ranked 9th.
Have a damn good stable of running backs. QB is a question mark but I’m of the opinion that Mond wasn’t really a difference maker anyways. Oline could make a difference this year since they lost some guys
We hung in for three quarters last year but they boat raced us in the 4th.
Last years team stats for comparison:
509 to 340 total yards
196 to 144 passing yards
313 to 196 rushing yards
Neither team turned it over.
I think A&M was overrated last year so I don’t think they’re unbeatable but I just don’t see us being that good either.

I wouldnt say that, they got lucky on a TD that made the most difference. Also, should have better play calling this year that should make a difference as well.

I understand your pick but I like 3 of the first 4 games being easy (hopefully). We have a lot of talent I could see it being a good year.

Without really seeing anything before Fall camp, I’m kinda leaning 7-5.
I think I’ll need to see how the team looks against Akron and Alabama State. Beyond the score, I’m looking for some things:
Does the offense look sustainable?
Do we have several targets out wide?
Does the OL look confused under new responsibilities?
Does Bo look comfortable?
Is our defense limiting yardage and big plays?
Does the DL rotation look sustainable for SEC play?
I expect both to be blowouts but I want to see something that’s not clunky or lucky before I adjust my expectations up. If those games give me a feeling that the teams have direction then I could see 8+ wins maybe.

Put me down for 8 wins. PSU was 4-5 last year. Wild card is TAMU.

I could very easily see us dropping 2 of Ark, OM, MSU, USCe but we should beat them all. At minimum win 3 of the 4.
We had very lackluster performances last year and still beat 3 of the 4. Should’ve never lost the USCe game.
So those 4 on top of 3 cupcakes gets you to 7 wins.
If we see good coaching, I would say we win those plus maybe get 1 or 2 more:

We were very lucky to beat Arkansas and ole miss last year. I assume we are underdogs vs ole miss this year

I’m expecting 7-5. 8+ would make me very happy/hopeful. I think the defense will still be solid. I think our year just really hinges on if we can pass the ball well enough to keep defenses honest.

I expect at least 8-9 wins regular season just based on offense being more coherent.
We could won lots of games over the last 2 season if the offense just gave us a tiny bit more instead of 5 straight 3 and outs in some qtrs
