Hell, a coach that could compete with Eddie O and freaking Moo State would be an upgrade.

Question about gus's contract. Is his buyout clause like chiziks where if he takes another head coaching position he doesn't get the full buyout

Not from what I've heard.

We'd owe $15mil within 30 days and the remaining balance payable over the remainder of the contract

Fire him tomorrow, next year, or at the end of the contract, Auburn is still going to have to pay him the full amount. Do it at the end of this season and stop the bleeding.

You fire him soon enough to have first dibs on the potential candidates.

We owe him the money no matter when he is let go. So why let him coach anymore if he misses a bowl in year 6?

At this point, I would take this option.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but YawYaw may be a better coach that Gus

is a better coach than Gus...it really isn't close. Gus benefitted more from Auburn than the other way around.

Gus just reminds me of the guy that comes to work and does the bare minimum to get a check. He doesn't seem to give two craps about anything other than getting his check. He has no fire, accepts no responsibility, refuses to change. Hes mentally checked out now the higher ups need to physically check him out!

Liberty just knocked off Troy. There's not a given win left on this schedule.
