I'm with you on Deion, but I have no idea why people are so confident in Lane.
I think Kiff has the potential to be a solid HC.

That said, there’s no reason for him to leave Oxford so long as they’re willing to pay market rate (his salary is in the $7.5 million range already).

If we can’t coax Aranda away from Baylor then I hope we look at one of the solid ACC HCs like Clawson at Wake or Doeren at NCSU. Otherwise make a play for Rhule once he gets shown the door at Carolina.

I hadn’t considered either of those. That’s not the worst idea. Wake has been on the come up for sure. Though the competition level in ACC is not as cutthroat as SEC.

Someone mentioned Cignetti and I’d like that hire a bit more. He spent time at Alabama so he knows what a top program requires.

Just here to remind everyone we are not firing Harsin. On an unrelated note. Looks like the GT job is about to be open. Prime is their #1 target.

He’s practically fired…just waiting on the right time.

Unfortunately, I think his contract and 22.2M owed saves him another year.

Harsin will be gone. He most likely will be allowed to stumble through the rest of the year.

We better be making a deal with Prime behind the scenes.

I believe he was addressing those who said he would be fired today whether he won or not.

You may just be right!
He may have no choice but to leave on his own if he wants to coach more than high school for the rest of his life. Aubie playing this close to the vest.
I'll see your hundred and raise you another $100.

Doesn't his buyout drop in Nov or Dec of this year? I could see us waiting, unfortunately.

I'm a broken record, but I can't say it enough. If we do all of this and piss away $40m to pay Gus & Harsin to not coach at Auburn only to hire Freeze, I will be that guy at the airport yelling, "welcome back, Great Value Gus! I look forward to our 8 win seasons in perpetuity."

AU owes him “only” 70% of that, so $15 million or so.

Considering the numbers being thrown around for the next SEC TV deal (if they can get it done before the next big market crash), that’s not as outrageous as it used to be, even with the $6-8 mill we still owe Gustav.

This team looks like it will be hard-pressed to win another game. 3-9 will get you fired no matter how much it takes. I don’t think anything less than 6 regular season wins saves him, and that would require a greater collection of miraculous luck than we saw yesterday, against a bunch of teams that are far better than Mizzou.

Yes it's getting bad and to damn expensive and a hassle.
I have been parking at the corner of Samford and Mell (Swingle Hall) since I was 14 years old with my parents. I am now an old fart at 64. Raised three boys there. I am up there every Friday at 13:00 cst to rope off. We Csme up this past Fri and on the east side of Mell after turning off Samford we're met with "No Parking or tow away" all the way up to the hill going down to Roosevelt.
I have a retired Army Colonel friend who works on campus and asked him. He said he wasn't sure but was going to find out. They have also shutdown free parking at each of the schools parking lots on south Mell. All are now season parking passes. All generating $$$ to pay the clowns. Is Wayne Hall still on the payroll?
