Matt Scalaci replied to someone saying the PTB and AD are in alignment if Freeze is hired with this:

Yeah exactly. I would kill for auburn to win the sugar bowl. It’s a new years six bowl and everyone here is happy for a liberty bowl after this shite hole of a season.

Freeze won 10 games at ole miss once. They weren't a regularly contending team.

I just can’t understand why freeze wasn’t first choice.
It's just like some claimed Freeze wasnt even in consideration because Cohen didn't like him but he was interviewed. They also claimed Prime was 2 or 3 half the time and yet no one knows what Cohen thought of him or that he even interviewed.

Yup PM has said from the start Freeze won’t happen so if it does then we actually had no other candidates that shown interest.

Freeze seems to have really wanted the Auburn job so I think he would do what Auburn asked like keeping Caddy.
As for Kiffin I don't see why he wouldn't put him on his staff at least as a RB/assistant HC or something. He seemed mad or something about the Auburn job so I'm sure he would have accepted that small request.

I can fully imagine our alignment goals are toast. Great job on hiring a polarizing charlatan that can lose to Memphis any given Saturday. Those 58 points weren’t enough.

His best team at Ole Miss was the year before, when he beat Bama and was legitimately in the CFP convo, until he managed 7 points against an LSU team Gustav had hung 40 on, then laid a goose egg against Bert, another team Gustav hung 40+ on.

He has never win a game of significance in his entire career.
And he never will.
Freeze beat teams, that on paper, he shouldn't have. And did it a few times, so you can't say it's a fluke. You don't think it's significant to beat some of Saban's best teams both home and away? Kiffin just lost to a team that had 3 turnovers!
Never ceases to amaze me how some can take two guys and proclaim one as the Messiah of Football and downplay their record all the while discounting a proven winner at every job the other guy has ever had.
