Kiffin is going to have to start his own school after the State game. He's only going to have partial support at OM and Auburn and fully wanted nowhere.

Ehh I could see them announcing the Friday before the Iron Bowl. It makes you the lead story for the entire weekend, likely gives Lane some air time to talk about the move, and preemptively squashes any talk of “Auburn should hire Caddy” if by some miracle we won the game. Also in the likely scenario that we get hammered in the game, the talk during the game likely shifts from getting beat to what Auburn will look like with Kiffin.

Kiffin literally has nothing to brag about just rushing yard and no signature wins. He has the 5th best school sitting 3rd (4th if State beats them) in the West and has 8 wins in a down year is the SEC. That's is not the signs of a great coach in his 3rd year. But spin away. Those are the facts of his OM tenure.

I would imagine that if he signs a contract extension, OM will announce it with a quickness. And if he does, he'll surely do it before the Egg Bowl so it won't be a distraction. I think we'll be able to read the tea leaves by Wednesday at the latest.

Rabern, I like you because you argue without attacking, but this simply isn’t true and very short-sighted. He wants to come to Auburn to win the big game. His offensive accomplishments have been stacking up as well.
