He did lead Vandy to back to back 9 win seasons. Last time we did that was 15 years ago. But I’m not going to start sunshine pumping James Franklin until I absolutely have to.

Yeah but that was at MSU, and it was seen by most as a great hire for them. Moorehead was a hot name, just ended up being a bad fit at MSU.
I wish people would stop comparing what Cohen did at MSU to what he would do at Auburn, completely different programs in who they can attract.
Its one of the reasons Cohen said he made the move.

I honestly think Franklin would be a great hire. Everyone complains about our power people, but we are nothing compared to Joe P. Jr. Imagine Rane pissed if he didn't get the HC job then join the BoT after a new coach is selected. He then spend his whole life undermining that new coach. Franklin's personality has a bit of Bruce feeling to it.

You apparently haven't looked at his recruiting classes. He recruits the south, especially the state of Florida better than Harsin and Gus.
