Kiffin is a good coach but he also comes with his own issues. A higher price tag. More likely to bail for any reason. He tries to hide his terrible personality the best he can but it leaks out around the edges. Auburn as a whole obviously needs a good coach, but not somebody that prickly.
Freeze also made mistakes. Can’t show me one that hasn’t. Just one that hasn’t been caught. Culturally Freeze is a better fit IMO. Financially hold him lower but with incentives. Pour that money into quality coordinators. Build a coaching tree. A base for a quality program.

TLDR…. I’m leaning Freeze overall. Lane is a headache waiting to happen

So going on record that you don’t want a second Bruce Pearl type?

I reject any comparison between Bruce's issues with the NCAA and Freeze's issues with both the NCAA & hookers.

I would be infuriated if I was Bruce.

Got it. Sounds dumb.

Freeze's issues were more OM issues. It is stated by the NCAA. Some of you might care about his kinks (which is weird you want to know what someone does with their personal life) but he did not mastermind some big NCAA violation scheme.

Sanders isn’t ready. Said so himself. Like his honesty and approach with his team though.

Auburn isn’t a training ground type program

But you liked the Saban & Kiffin comparison.

Interesting

In an interview. I THINK posted in this thread already.
Said he has been out coached in several games and has a whole lot to learn before he could compete with stronger coaches. Which I think that’s great humility and honesty. Hasn’t been doing in long obviously

JGT adjusts hot board with moving Freeze from 4 to 2.

Kiffin 30%
Freeze 25%
field 20 %
Lanning 15%
Deion 5%
Rhule 3%
Jeff Grimes 2%

Try to get Kiffin, then if not, circle back for alignment on Freeze. Makes sense. Hard to throw $100 million at Lanning.

So it will be Prime, Rhule, or Grimes.

Do we know if any of these are super hyper intelligent geniuses?

Just assuming he's reasonably content with the situation at Oregon (facilities, Nike, easy competition, etc). Could be wrong.

Coach Field has broad experience at various programs, enjoys recruiting, excels on game day decisions, makes alumni and fan base happy, supports Auburn sports and the academic side as well.

Great human being, legendary coach in the making.

Throw 7 years at 8 million a year

Anyone who thought Sanders was ready for that leap based upon his experience was delusional to begin with. It was never happening. Just another Turner Gill type fad that seems to happen every time Auburn starts looking for a coach.

I appreciate your compassion but it is not happening. And it doesn't need to either.

Wow. I'm going to get up early to see if percentages have changed.

So is Grimes 50 to 1?

Might buy one ticket.

It’s GrimesTime!
