Which would be a current coaching issue.

Was it an issue when Harsin was there as well? Did you read the same article as I did?

Truth be told, this type of season has been coming for a while now. Boise State is depleted in the trenches on both sides. The defensive line is thin at skill and experience, and the offensive line has been a bugaboo for four or five years now. And don’t even get me started on the linebackers.

Sounds like a bunch of cry babies screaming in a bucket. This guy wants Mr. Congenialty running his program. I guess he'd be pissed to have a type "A" #1 a-hole like Saban coaching his football team.

I could have sworn I read a piece on Harsin that said he wanted to stay at Bosie but the AD and the university didn't seem to be concerned about falling behind in the sports facility arms race which directly affects recruiting.

He only lost 4 conference games his last five years at BSU. He won 10 plus games a year during that time span minus 2020 when they only played 7 games. His record there was fantastic.

ETA:

He also leas all non-P5 schools in recruiting.

Hey bud, it is too early in the morning to be having a come apart. I provided very legitimate reasons why the article doesn't seem to be accurate.

They won the conference every year and averaged over 10 wins a season, so i'd probably say no.

THis...

And what do we know of the guy writing this article in the OP?

Do we know if he has an agenda? Is he not a Harsin guy anyway?

ANything is possible...

Or is his name a pen name he uses, and his real name is Joseph Goodman?

So you’re arguing that Bronco’s OL and DL are not in fact currently depleted because he has won 10 games a year in a shite conference?

I've not argued that once, not sure why you're having such a little melt over this.

I don't know if they are or are not depleted. Neither do you. The article is a very woe is me article when they are having a shite season. Take it with a grain of salt.

As I said in my very first response:

Sounds mostly like a lot of sour grapes, but i'm sure there is some legitimacy in some of it to some degree.

I’m pretty sure a Boise State football writer wouldn’t lie about that. The writer gave the new coach just as much criticism for other things as well.

But you can stick to “sour grapes”

My Lord! Jang of all people and the outrage! 'Sup Bro? You doing okay? Sincere question.

IMHO CBH is EXACTLY WHAT AUBURN HAS NEEDED FOR A WHILE. The person who wroteee whatever that was was obviously taking the whiny-arse bitch position.

I like our chances from here on out, one week and win at a time.

I know I am not the only one, but I have seen enough teams, coaches and staffs to realize that everything now is different. We control our destiny and we are going to beat (honestly, I think we are going to embarrass the shite out of UM. Ole Miss at home. It seems AU is nowhere really concerning to Lane. Just my take and we will see. We will rip um a new a-hole to the delight of many. It will be fun. War Eagle and nothing personal!

Who said he was lying? Maybe he is just wrong? Do you take PAM's opinion's as the gospel truth?

This could have some validity, or could be sour grapes. Hard to tell. But, this says a lot

quote:

The way he treats the media is confirmation enough.

Never hurt guys like Saban. Only is an issue when the wins aren't there.

quote:

The revolving door of assistant coaches who have worked for him

Something else that doesn't hurt a coach like Saban. He turns over the coaching staff every few years.

Probably more proof that the author has an ax to grind more than anything else to be honest

Odds that Harsin was a dick to this guy? I'm betting pretty high.

Could be valid points who knows. They say he’s got a revolving door of assistants yet all the guys he brought over have been with him for a long time.

Is he an a-hole? Yes. But that’s what a lot of us like about him. Is Saban an a-hole? Yes

quote:

Apparently talent did not show up on the field?

Not really sure what argument you’re making here. He brought in talent. The talent was showing up when he was there. Now it’s not? How would that be his fault? It’s the same talent he had showing up.

Honestly, I’m not going to dive into his results at Boise. Why? Because who cares? He’s already hired here. We’re not going to fire him for anything that happens at Boise from here on out. So it’s going to play out here one way or the other.

I also have a feeling this media guy was supportive and sang the new coach's praises(along with others noticing this reporter didn't like how Harsin interacted with media, and pretty sure him) and now he's looking for reasons why he's not winning like Harsin did.

No better way to do that, than to deflect on the last coach not leaving him enough good players...

That was my thought. The new guy at Boise must suck at coaching up his team.

Butt (my arse, thx to Morris Day and the Time), CBH and Auburn are about to start wreeeecking shite and people right here in the SEC.

I’m not melting at all. I don’t understand how people can think “sour grapes” or “agenda” when it is true that Harsin’s OL struggled.

I love Harsin’s cowboy routine with the media and his toughness but he isn’t our guy if our OL and DL isn’t the toughest groups on the field for both teams. I made this topic because it’s easier to track my topics. This will be revisited from time time to time.

I won't pretend to know anything at all about the nuance of coaching and recruiting at Boise or how Harsin did there and I've been mostly pleased with how we have performed on the field but if you aren't still a little uneasy about recruiting you've got your head in the sand a bit.
