You can say things over and over until you’re blue in the face, still doesn’t make it true.

I never realized how miserable some of you people were until this season. It's actually kind of crazy how out of touch some of y'all are. I used to read this board because I'd get some insight that I missed when watching the game, now it's just ridiculous squabbles.

Hang in there. Most of us just start posting on other boards until these guys tire themselves out. Sunday-Thursday on here is going to be brutal for a while

Not one person has said anything of the sort. But on the other hand, you just posted you hope Gatewood transfers.

All I'm going to say in this thread is that if you don't think Nix could have ran for over 100 against Kent St if we wanted him to then you're dumb.

Funny thing is, we have this argument today, come Sunday I bet we all end up on the same side of the QB controversy one way or another

I guess the title of this thread got someone stirred up along w/ the video.

All I see so far is a True FR playing pretty well, w/ his ups and downs, but helping us win a top 15 game in his first start.

And another QB who has great measurements, runs well, has some power, and has played mostly against weaker competition.

If we flounder again against good or the best SEC teams, instead of fighting it out on our QBs, it should be directed at the coaching decisions and offensive designs.

We are going to struggle w/ a FR QB, and who the heck knows if one can or will be better than the other.

I am still worried about this and have said this many times. What makes you think this is going to work out differently?

I'm not convinced it's going to work out differently

By all accounts Bo is a better athlete and I believe that there is going to be a concerted effort to utilize that in the next few weeks. My concern is that Gus is stubborn and returns to tendencies, so what we'll do when Nix run isn't being respected and what we'll do when we seemingly don't need Nix to run (Whitlow gets hot for a few games, etc.) is what I am interested in. I don't want to see Bo's rushing threat pulled from the offensive identity in either scenario, which I think will inevitably lead us back to the stagnation we've experienced of late.

Here’s what I want, I want Gatewood to run the whole offense and let’s see where we go from there. If y’all are secure in yall’s beliefs that Nix is the best, y’all should be fine with that. There is no way we can play next man up if Gus keeps restricting the backups from taking quality reps as he’s doing now.

Like I’ve said before, Malik Willis had less than than 15 total passes his whole career here. Backups from Bama, Georgia, and LSU all have already thrown that many passes this season. Which coaching style better breeds preparation and continuity for the program?

Lastly, if y’all believe Gus and staff are excellent talent evaluators that see everything, I don’t understand where the bitching about play calling and RB personnel groups are coming from. Y’all are literally talking out of both sides of your mouths. I don’t see how the coaches can be fooled by Jeremy Johnson in practice or that we can stumble upon the fact that Pettway can actually run the ball.

Nix is a mobile QB, but like I said in the other thread, I don’t think he’s the type of runner that fits our power offense. I don’t think his style of running is a style that will force defenses to adjust or to be respected. He’s the type of runner that would excel in Air raid schemes that can escape to get the ball out. Our power schemes need QBs that can force defenses to respect the run.

And I don’t know why, but Gus continues to drift away from what made his offenses famous.
