From JGT…
We are told that Bo Nix has given the staff a firm commitment to remain at Auburn.
People sometimes break their word, obviously, but this one seems pretty iron-clad to me.

If JGT is to believed, Looks like Hoke had some bad info.
Although I will have to say, I trust Hoke much further than JGT.

Hoke never said anything firm he was mostly speculating based on what he had heard

But Hoke never said Bo was going to the portal did he? It was just one of his options he and family were mulling.
Could be they then decided best for him was staying.

Yeah, judging by the look on his face at the women's bball game and the way he was at the IB it looked like he just wanted to think about it a bit more alone and with people he trusts.

In a subscriber post he said he believed Bo would transfer but never said it was set in stone or anything

quote:Correct. He mentioned that it was a possibility, but also stated that even if he did, he could always come back to Auburn.

From the outset several insiders said this was just Nix looking for some affirmation, sounds like he got it.
Personally I wasn't all that concerned either way, but having Nix as an option is better than not having him. I suppose there is a small possibility that Davis or Holden could deserve the start and not get it due to Bo's return, but nothing we can really do about that.

Seeing a lot of the popular Auburn fan accounts of Ig Hinting that they think Bo is returning. Obviously not reliable but FWIW

I hope the staff puts a good line on the field to protect him. Despite what we might think about his pro chances, Bo needs to put more on tape for the scouts and some of that relies on getting in a rhythm. Same for Tank’s cause.

Bo returning is the best news since Suni won the gold medal in Tokyo

I agree.
And if they can get him a better OL, an improved running game, and Harsin continues to get Bo more comfortable in a good passing attack then Bo can improve his draft stock.
Regardless of our weak OL Bo improved his stock after 2 years wandering in Gus’ passing desert.

That’s just smart business. Everyone needs modifiers . Know it all takes are cringe.

They just report what’s told to them. I don’t see why everyone freaks out when they just pass along info. They could literally report exactly what a recruit, player or coach tells them, and that info change 5 minutes later.

We will know once Bo makes a statement. Until then it's speculation.

I’m hesitant to get into this conversation but they’re building a customer base. Of course it’s cheap

Anyway, nobody is skewering these guys so put down your sword. I don’t want to speak for Spots but my take is that these sites have an obligation to speak to every rumor and situation unfolding. That’s whether or not they’ve got good information or information at all. I don’t envy their job.
But it’s a reality that they are often relaying bad or incomplete information. Doesn’t make them bad people and doesn’t mean they’re not trying their hardest but Auburn is a tough school to get information from and but I’ve seen these guys work for over a decade now. It is what it is.
I like KN but he’s wrong a lot. Still think he’s probably the best on recruiting coverage. Just comes with the job

From JGT:
I mentioned a week ago that Bo Nix told Bryan Harsin and other members of the staff that nothing had changed with his situation — that he was planning to play at Auburn next season.
That plan appears to have changed.
We're told that Bo and his father, Pat, met with Harsin today and laid out plans for Bo to transfer out. Sources inside the complex who'd previously been adamant about Bo remaining at Auburn now say their confidence is shaken.
Having a conversation about roles and futures and raising the possibility of a transfer is not the same as throwing up the deuces. With that said, Bo Nix appears prepared to say goodbye and move along.
This should be resolved in relatively short order. This situation cannot fester long.
