Saw this posted on the Rant and figured it needed to be posted here. Pac-12 network did a 10 minute video on Bo and his move to Oregon. He said he moved on because he "wanted to go somewhere I could win."

Pat Nix and Bo' mom were both in video and they seemed pretty pissed at AU in general. They didn't say it directly, but you could tell. At one point his mom said that if Bo had a game against UGA like he did when OU played UGA, that SEC fans (meaning AU fans) would be spitting at him.

I think that's hyperbole, but whatever.

Just telling his side of the story. Auburn, Gus, the fans...all let him down. He never said anything that bad. We really don't need to act like jilted lovers every time this story, HIS story, is told.

I'm happy for him and hope he has great success moving forward. He can shite talk us all he wants. Doesn't bother me one bit. I would, too. Hell, me and my fellow Auburn alum shite talk the school at least once a week

Clicked on thread, was disappoint it was the other Bo. No word yet on why #34 wasn't at the game?

ETA - There is only one Bo, and then there is Bo Nix. Please, for clarification.

Bo has always seemed to take the high road.

His mom? Not so much.
His wife? Not so much.

No Auburn fan would ever spit at a player.

I can root for Bo. But I can’t watch his mom and wife talk in hyperbolic lies and emotions.

Yeah I agree. Hell we have seen the game thread here when Oregon played Georgia.

Lot of Auburn fans thinking they were dancing on his grave.

I didn't really see anything wrong with the video. Wanting to go somewhere "Where he can win" can mean somewhere where they know how to recruit OL, something Gus and Harsin forgot.

There were plenty of loud a-holes on AUFamily and ITAT proclaiming loudly that he only started because Daddy.

The open racists on one of the more left leaning "name" forums claimed TJ was vastly better and Bo got the start because he was white, in addition to the legacy status.

Screw 'em all. I hope he wins it all this year.

We, meaning Auburn, completely fricked that up. He’s just telling the truth.

Agree. However he and his father both walked a fine line. Saying how they truly felt while sliding jabs at Auburn.

I don't blame them I guess but some of that shite was overboard. Of course it's easy when you are winning and you have support. frick outta here fam

I/My son crumbled under the pressure and responsibility of being a starting QB in the SEC because AU fans are big meany-booboos.

The truth is we sucked when Bo was at QB. Some of you never blamed the QB but he was not very good and made a bunch of bone headed plays. The SEC is a little different than the PAC12. Put a little pressure on him and he reverts back to old ways, but either way, yea, our offensive play calling sucked. Everyone needed a change.

Seriously, I thought Bo Jackson had had major complications or something. Bo Jackson says he will undergo procedure after dealing with chronic hiccups for nearly a year This seems to be the best reason he wasn't there as far as I can figure. Sucks. We missed you Bo -- hang in there.

Bo literally led the SEC in throw aways in 2021 by a good margin and he got hurt in the tenth game.

He also broke his own Auburn record for most passes between interceptions.

What? Our OL has sucked for years. Bo was under that line and constantly felt pressure to move out of the pocket to make a play or stay alive. Sound familiar? It should ad this is what we are currently experiencing. Truth of the matter is Bo moved to where he had a better chance of advancing his career.

Amen

And not unlike others who went elsewhere and flourished. Fact is he recognized the limited potential to fulfill his dreams at the school of his first choice. Which is not much different that any fan choosing a different path if it'll give them a chance to be a better doctor, lawyer, or NFL wannabe.

Plus the Auburn he's referencing is not the Auburn he grew with, nor the Auburn of today.

Harsin's biggest wins don't happen without him. Gus is out probably a year or two earlier without him. Bo wasn't a world beater, but Auburn doesn't have a QB near his talent in the near future and that's why we have awful wide receivers, a one dimensional offense and are on our third coach in four years.

Gus turned us into a lower tier SEC team. Harsin dug that hole deeper. It wasn't Bo's fault we can't recruit offensive linemen or receivers. It's not Bo's fault we shove underexperienced former Auburn players intocoaching spots they aren't ready for or run outdated spread schemes that continually fail. If Bo wasn't very good, he isn't putting up 3 and 400 yards in any league. I think we need to check ourselves on this one.

Amen!

Brother Ben!

Shot the goose!

Killed the hen!

------------------------

Btw: I loved the home video of Bo as a toddler kicking the football. And the mom saying in the background he can already kick it better than Bama's kicker.

They were and are hopefully still Auburn fans.

Bo and Auburn would probably both be in a better spot today if he never came to AU.
