That's most important right now. We are focusing on the wrong things with all this speculation and bullshite. If we beat Bama and finish 9-3 it will cure a lot of ills. We win the bowl game and it's a 10-win season for only the 6th time in the last 20 years with the toughest schedule in the country. Stop hoping for bad luck just so you can say "I told you so" about Gus and get behind this team. This fan base is disgusting at times. we get what we deserve. "Family" my arse.....

This. I've grown detached from all these stupid things in the world, sports included.
I'll watch Auburn basketball (and other college basketball) because it's still entertaining.
College football is about dead to me. Just too much bullshite involved, and Auburn sucks at it.
The key is not to follow it too closely. Just watch the games. I make the mistake of paying attention to college football. It's ridiculous.

So... does beating Bama help get Arkansas to show Gus the money and go?
Because I fear if Auburn loses we get stuck with Gus for 2 more years because even Arkansas doesnt what this shite show.

live in Ga, and after last Saturday don’t really care, except for the players. Rather win but prob not watch. I was fishing on the jetties last year and prob be again this year. There was a time I’d never dream of missing a game, let alone the Iron Bowl, but an iron bowl victory over a bama without their most important player would do nothing for me. I think Gus is prob a good guy, but his stubborn a$& offensive coaching has taken any joy out of watching, and most importantly “hoping”

This message would be improved if it was "Let's beat Bama, win 10 games and save the Gus decision for another day because nothing is happening this year regardless. Gus may not be the answer but that doesn't mean we don't have a good opportunity."
And you're right it is a big opportunity. Say what you will about Gus, but his AU teams get the benefit of the doubt from polling and the like. We're ranked highly even when we're pretty mediocre. National media personalities seem to still hold Gus in fairly high regard. Winning 10 games will keep Auburn in that stature and ensure that we continue not to have to worry about polls and committees to get into the CFP if we're good enough. Not a small thing, IMO.
