Spot on. 3 of CBM fouls were painfully dumb, too. Super easy coaching point though. Tell him “we need you out there”, stroke his ego a little, watch the film of each foul.. good to go

I will say Broome played pretty damn good with they having him play stretch 5 instead of post. JayWill and Johnson were the disappointments for me. Weak defense, poor shooting, no rebounding

College officiating makes these games unwatchable. This isn’t basketball and isn’t the least bit entertaining which is supposed to be the whole point of this.

Fouls were absolutely the difference in the game. They shot 9 more than we did and they hit 10 more than we did. That was the difference.

Yeah didn’t get much from the 4 spot. Jaylin blocked a couple shots and I see potential for Chaney as an energy guy but that’s it. I’d actually like to play Chaney at the 3 when we were in foul trouble instead of Lior

I’m optimistic after tonight. Looks like the team is going to be what we thought/hoped they would be. A very good offensive team but lacking on defense. Last years team gets run out of the gym if they played tonight.

Not if you have idiots like Oglesby, Sermons, and the bald black guy whose name escapes me, (but I recognize him as being shitty also) calling games the way they have tonight.
These guys have done nothing but disrupt the game from start to finish, called ticky-tack BS one trip down the floor, then let somebody get chest bumped into the stands on a layup with no call the next trip down.
This has been one of the most poorly officiated games I have seen in a LONG time.
And if I might add, it seemed to become quite one-sided after the under 4 TO.

I was kind of expecting him to get some time there. I get playing Lior a little in that situation. But he also could have had the thought that Jaylin may have to play the 5 some with the foul trouble.

He will probably just get a short timeout. No big deal. Rig is a softy so he will let him back in eventually

The stat line doesn’t tell the story. Down the stretch he missed some big free throws when we were holding a narrow lead. Defensively he was pretty bad the last 5 mins when we needed him most. He They outscored us the last 4 mins 19-7.

I thought we looked pretty good on defense all things considered in the first game. We had 10 blocks, matched them on rebounding (AU 35 / BU 36) which I was surprised about because it felt like they out-rebounded us by a wide margin. Only thing is they got in on steals but that’ll come with more games.

Even if Rig let him back in right this second, we wouldn’t hear from him again until we are losing to Notre Dame 38-36 at halftime in a couple weeks

I am glad Broome got a T at the end. Can we please not complain every fricking foul and whine every missed shot this season?
